Katelyn P. was fantastic! My dog drank an entire cup of coffee that had been left on an end table, and a quick Google search told us we needed to take him to the Vet ER immediately, or he may die from caffeine toxicity. Luckily, I remembered we had access to whiskerDocs through our Pet Insurance, so I told my boyfriend, "Before we panic, let's try the hotline and see if they can confirm whether we need to be worried or not." Katelyn asked all the right questions (how much does he weigh, what kind of coffee was it, were any artifical sweetners used, etc.). When she put us on a brief hold, she even did further research on the specific brand of coffee to see all of the ingredients. She ran calculations based off of all the info we had given and was able to assure us that what he had ingested was nowhere near toxic levels for any of the problem ingredients. She advised us of how long to make sure he was supervised, what symptoms to monitor for, and really put our minds at ease. Thank you, Katelyn!!! You saved us a lot of stress (and no doubt an emergency vet bill)!

Because I have Pet's Best insurance, I have access to 24/7 online veterinarian assistance. They do not replace my own vet, but I have used them several times to give me ideas and insight into what I should do for my pet. Highly recommend.
