The doctor prescribed an antibiotic that is 0% effective for my problem.
I explained to the doctor what was wrong. I had this outer ear thing 5 years before. It's a pseudomonas bacterial infection of my ear cartilage from the heat, sweat and germs of my cell phone pressed against my ear. He prescribed Clindomycin which, according to my pharmacist, is100% useless against pseudomonas bacteria. He also prescribed Ofloxacin drops which are effective for ear infections but the infection is not IN my ear, it's ON my ear. The drops - a 5ml bottle - only lasted 2 days anyway so what good would they have done anyway? I specifically told him that I had this before and that it went away quickly with Erythromycin which he said was an "old antibiotic" so he opted to prescribe Clindomycin, which, as I said, has no effect whatsoever on this kind of bacteria. Now my ear is still huge, red and swollen and I am sick to my stomach from the antibiotic. I mean, you never expect a doctor to make a mistake like that. If he had LISTENED to what I told him, I would be better already. I don't think I am smarter than he is, but I know that I had the exact same thing before and I know what cured it. Wasted $35 and I'm still sick. If you are a doctor you know that 95% of outer ear cartilage infections are caused by pseudomonas bacterium. If you are a doctor, you also know that Clindamycin does not kill it.
