We love the Mesquite NV Walmart…
We love the Mesquite NV Walmart Superstore. There's so much space. Despite the remote location, it offers everything we need, all under one roof (and the much needed support to the homeless is exemplary). But there is some unnecessary behavior that could be controlled. *On exiting the store a male associate deliberately lied saying I had left something at the self checkout. I told him I hadn't, and was proved correct when I obligingly returned with him to the far end self checkout for nothing. This is elder abuse and can result in us being tardy for our appointments. *A health provider had given me 2 substantial coupons for health products which I gave to the cashier during checkout to avoid any problem at self-checkout. She “forgot” to deduct them of course, directing me to Customer Service where an awaiting failed actor was trying to cause a disturbance using the “yell loudly for about 20 minutes” method). You could have heard him in Bunkerville. Las Vegas even. In fact it was just like Las Vegas. *One fine day on loading my car, 2 large items that I had paid for and placed in my cart were mysteriously missing. When I returned and informed the associate on duty (who had just seen me) she was immediately unpleasant, denying I had just been through (despite Walmart on-camera evidence). I ignored her but did eventually succeed in retrieving the items from Customer Service. Walmart 0 Customer 1. *The self checkouts were not printing receipts. When an associate was informed of this he said he could not help but it didn't matter because the items would be “on your credit card”. Amazing technology! Can we now show our credit card instead of a paper receipt, etc. when returning an item? *The entire bar code had been carefully torn off the paper wrapping of about 10 of the same grocery item, I did find 1 which they presumably missed. This childish sabotage can lead to longer wait times for customers and potentially harm business reputation. Can human behavior sink any lower? Stay tuned.
