I didn’t get to the point of purchasing a booth from this company because I couldn’t get past their terms and conditions. The big problem is that they contain references to external links, and there is no guarantee the content at those links won’t change. For example, the warranty section has a URL for the “full warranty info,” meaning that the agreement I would be signing did not, in fact, contain the full warranty. By not including the full text in the agreement, they seem to be reserving the right to update the terms whenever they see fit, which makes any agreement functionally meaningless, from the customer side at least. Further, the text at these links is already contradictory. Consider these discrepancies, which are likely not exhaustive: • The agreement I was presented with had a line item for “Curb Side Delivery Service - Lift-gatable Crates,” because I had specifically raised the issue that another company expects their customers to remove their deliveries from the trucks themselves. However, the shipping URL in the agreement contains this: “Any additional or special services; i.e. guaranteed delivery date, Saturday delivery, lift gate (not recommended), inside delivery, etc. can be arranged for an additional charge. Customer is responsible for removing the crate(s) and the contents from the truck.” • The agreement says there is a 5 year warranty. The warranty URL in the agreement has a graphic that says “5 year warranty” but text that says “Any defects in materials or workmanship will be repaired or replaced at the VocalBooth factory location within one year from date of purchase.” • The agreement says that, if the company chooses to accept any returns, there will be a “15% or more restocking fee”. The disclaimer URL in the agreement is actually a broken link. But elsewhere on the site, their refund policy states a “30% restocking fee”. Set aside how sloppy and unprofessional this all looks. In the hopefully unlikely event that I would need to rely on this agreement, like for a warranty claim, it could be a nightmare trying to determine what terms apply, especially if they changed the text at those links after signing. I raised all these concerns. I need to add here that the salesperson first had me sign and return a PDF and then sent me basically the same agreement via DocuSign. His answer to my concerns was that we could use the PDF instead. I was so blind-sided by this strange agreement that I didn’t see when I signed the PDF the first time that it, too, contained the problematic URLs in its section headers. But I sure saw it upon a second look. So, his answer to my concerns about the links was to use another agreement with the same links. That was all he offered.

I purchased the VO1 booth from VocalBooth.com and unfortunately had a very poor experience — both with the booth itself and with the company’s customer service. The booth arrived flimsy, unstable, and with one panel dented. For the price point (nearly $2,000), I expected something sturdier and more professional. Instead, it felt more like lightweight panels than a reliable recording space. When I contacted the company, I was told to “massage the dented area” and “give it time.” When I said the booth simply wasn’t for me and requested a refund, the owner, Calvin Mann, responded by accusing me of being “careless in my pre-purchase research” and “choosing a negative path.” He even wrote that “truly successful people living a life of abundance achieve their goals in an atmosphere of positivity and grace.” To be clear: I wasn’t being hostile. I was simply trying to return a product that did not meet expectations. His tone was dismissive, condescending, and unprofessional. Ultimately, I was told I could return it but would lose $300 for shipping, even though one panel was damaged in transit and despite the fact that the product was misrepresented in quality. As a working actor in Brooklyn, I purchased this booth for professional self-tapes and voiceover work. It was not sturdy, not soundproof, and not worth the cost. Worse than the product was the way the company handled my concerns. Bottom line: The booth did not meet expectations, and the customer service experience was defensive and insulting. I would strongly recommend exploring other companies if you’re looking for a reliable recording booth. — Elliot

An absolutely awful and unbelievable experience. My vocal booth arrived damaged from shipping and vocalbooth.com accused me of damaging it on purpose!! When I called vocalbooth.com to inform them of the damage, all they did was tell me a long story about how this has never happened before and that the damage could not have been caused during shipping. They offered me nothing, no empathy, no replacement parts or even an offer of a partial refund for the damages. I have called numerous times and they never answer the phone. I filed a claim with the freight company and they denied my claim. They explained to me that the booth was not properly packed for shipment because vocalbooth.com did not put a wood top on the palette crate. They only shrink wrapped it around the top. It would appear that something fell on top of the booth during shipment causing the damage which would not have happened if it had a full crate with a wood top. I didn’t notice the damage until after the driver had already left and I removed the shrink wrap. I am now stuck with a damaged booth that cost me over $4,000 USD. Buyers beware!!!!

I got the product on time and it was just as described on the website. A bit expensive, though.
