Abysmal prices

VHL is not a learning program. It is a waste of time and money. If a teacher uses VHL, then they are misled in thinking it will help students learn a language. It teaches nothing and makes students hate language learning. Don’t ever buy it. They don’t give refunds either! Why? Because they know their product is trash.

Wildly overpriced. Amazing example of the price gouging done by college textbook companies. If you're a language professor, your students will love you much more if you find any more reasonably priced alternative, I guarantee it is just as good, if not probably better.

Horrible website, I have spent multiple hours on this website and have failed to grasp even the fundamentals of Spanish (the language I am currently learning). Whether it's the videos that expect you to learn the concept within 20 seconds or the disorganized mess of the structure. This website has actively made me never want to learn another language again. I loathe this website for not only teaching me nothing but making me hate a thing I was originally very passionate about.

This is absolutely the worst, no real learning or breakdown of the language. Multiple grammar inconsistencies, compiled with horrible layout makes it difficult. I will give every teacher who uses this program a bad review.

VHL is super picky whether you got a word misspelled or forgot to put an accent. They gave you no clue as to what to do better, and the assignments, miss one assignment, boom, your percent grade drops hard. This is my second year using this site and I still don't know why teachers are still using this site. When I'm done with Spanish 2, I'm switching to Duolingo. VHL is the worst and shouldn't exist.
