Visa GovassistReviews of visa.govassist.com

The government fee for a passport renewal is $130. Website fooled me into thinking I was paying $148 for the passport and processing fee. It turns out I paid $148 for them to fill out a 2-page form with information I provided them and I'm still on the hook for the $130 for the passport. Total scam company!

I wish I had come here first. I've just been scammed when trying to obtain a birth certificate copy from USA GovAssist. I am puzzled why Google allows this company to be displayed at the top of their search results when it's clearly a scam. I'm out of the money that I've paid and now have to star the process over again.

Googled US Passport renewal and went to a site posing as a State Department site. It is not. It is 3rd party and a fraudaluent. Gave them credit card info and then realized the problem. Am trying to get a refund, but their assistance phone # is also not real - call it and nothing happens at all.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. This is not where you want to go to renew your passport. For their ridiculous fee, all you receive are the forms (which you can print for free from the actual government website), and a pre-paid envelope to send your forms in. Which actually didn’t work at all!! The post office said the label was bogus and charged me an additional 20 to mail the forms. Not to mention you also will pay the passport renewal fee to the government which is not included in what this bogus company charges either. Absolutely ridiculous. Save your money and go to the real website. Not sure how these people can be in business. I got duped for sure, don’t let it happen to you.

I wish it was clearer upfront that GovAssist is a private company and not an official government site. I tried to stop the transaction right away, and they only offer automated support. They made a ticket and said they would call me back but they never did. While the customer service team was polite when I reached out, the pricing and distinction need to be much more transparent. Double-check official government websites before submitting/paying. Now they have all my private info.... I regret that they fooled me at first.

Misleading advertising - not connected to US Govt Charged for filling out forms Attempted to contact - telephone does not accept calls and email useless In my opinion this service is a SCAM

what everyone else is saying...this is a deceptive business as you are led to believe it is a US gov't website but it is not. I have already filed a fraud report with the US gov't, requested a full stop of payment with cc company, and considering legal action.

This company stole from me.
