If I could rate my favorite vocal instructor separately, I'd be giving 5-stars. Belu was wonderful to work with. I had some individual lessons with her and gained so much in terms of technique, warm-ups, and confidence. The semi-private lessons weren't quite as beneficial, since most of the other attendees were at different level than I was at.

I've taken some private coaching with Prakhar Saxena. He has been quite wonderful to work with and I felt very comfortable with his approach. He was very attentive and gave me great direction to improve my singing. I really felt more able to focus with private coaching which was totally worth the time and cost!

Very bad experience, lack of support, take the money and run
This program was a complete disappointment. There is no structure, no clear plan, and no logical learning path. Once you sign up, you're on your own. There’s zero guidance, and the so-called lessons are just the instructor randomly playing piano keys with no explanation or direction.
The entire setup is chaotic, you’re constantly jumping between his website and Skool.com, with no consistency or flow. The content is poorly organized and feels like it was thrown together without any real effort. Worst of all, every part of the learning process is monetized, you'll be charged extra at every step for things that should be included.
The monthly Q&A sessions are held in Israel’s time zone, which means they happen at 3AM. Not helpful at all. On Skool.com, the expectation is that students teach each other while the instructor stays mostly silent.
To top it off, the refund and cancellation policy is buried deep in the site; good luck finding it. Don’t expect a renewal notice. They’ll charge you without warning.
Save your money. This program is disorganized, overpriced, and the support is nonexistent.

I'm genuinely sorry to hear that your experience didn’t meet expectations. That’s never what we want for our students.
That said, I do want to clarify a few points in case there was some confusion. The program includes a clear, step-by-step learning path, with detailed video lessons, demonstrations, and exercises — all hosted on a single platform (Skool). It sounds like something may have been missed or misunderstood regarding what was available to you, and if that’s the case, that’s on us for not making it clearer.
As for the Q&A sessions — we totally hear you on the time zone issue. While we have students across the globe, we’re actively working on making live support more accessible, including replay options and alternative formats.
If you're open to it, we’d love the chance to make this right. We’d be happy to offer you a free private session so we can walk you through the program together and make sure you’re set up for success.

Carla was a fantastic teacher
Carla was a fantastic teacher. She explained everything so well to me. I didn’t realize that a great deal of singing comes from breathing right and holding your mouth right. If I couldn’t follow singing notes one way, she would come up with an easier way for me. I learned so much from Carla. You can tell she has so much experience behind her. Very friendly and polite.

Best Value for Learning how to Sing!
I have been taking private lessons with Carla Newland at AM Vocal Studios for about three months and the progress I have made still shocks me. Carla has helped me discover my voice (I never thought I could sing!). Excellent Vocal Coach
Carla Newland has been an excellent vocal teacher and coach. I have no previous singing experience other than singing happy birthday. Even at 69 years old, with no singing experience, I find that I'm able to learn how to sing. You just need someone like Carla to teach and coach you along your journey. Carla has been very patient and helpful teaching me how to sing. I've learned how to breath properly and how to control my singing voice by learning how to control facial muscles, mouth and lips. Thanks to Carla, I have more confidence in singing out loud now. I'm not as embarrassed as I was before we started our lessons. I feel that Carla has provided me with the necessary beginning steps to learn to be a better singer. I would recommend Carla to anyone trying to learn to sing.

Belu and Carla are amazing!
Belu has been incredibly positive and informative with her coaching! I just wish we could receive more training or one on ones! Her classes push me to try new experiences and have more conviction in my voice. Carla is also an incredible coach, so very technical and insightful within the world of vocal coaching. I can't say enough good about my…
I can't say enough good about my experience with my vocal coach, Belu! I have gone from being afraid to sing in front of people to now feeling way more confident to sing in front of people and that alone has made it all worth it.
