100% SCAM!!
As soon as you buy they will keep your money.
All wines lost 40% value.
Offers laughably low and insulting buy-back rates!

Vinovest is a gigantic scam
Vinovest is a gigantic scam. I have had over $20,000 in wine here for over five years. I've experienced nothing but losses, and I've had everything for sale for over two and a half years, with only three bottles selling. Every single metric they talk about on their site is nothing but a complete lie.
I have even discounted my bottles at 15% off everything on face value, and they have still been all sitting for well over a year. This company is a liar. They do not provide any customer support, and I've never felt more used and scammed as a customer. I don't know if I will ever get my remaining $15,000 out. At this rate, it will take seven years. After the five and a half years I've already been there, trying to liquiodateat major discounted rates. They will not send me my wine; they are scammers.

Scammy company
Scammy company, preying on 2020 inflated money and expectations. Whatever you put in, just consider it a loss. So much is wrong with this company I don't even know where to start. Just pay attention to reviews and Reddit if you have any doubts.
Re: their response. False. They have sent no message.
Update July 9 2026: Still a scammy company that should not be in existence, preying on customers (intentionally or not). Time will tell. And no, they have not reached out as response below claims.

RUN AWAY FROM THIS SCAM!!
RUN AWAY! Don't touch this platform.
I was only tiny bit happy I sold a tiny portion of the wines, but it turns out ALL the funds withdrawn needs to wait 90 days for no obvious reasons. I'VE NEVER SEEN A PLATFORM DOES SUCH A LONG PERIOD OF HOLD OF THE MONEY.
They're just making money by getting your money and keeping them.

I've requested liquidation of my…
I've requested liquidation of my account and withdrawal of all my funds numerous times. I finally sold my big loss wine for just $10 to try and get completely out of Vinovest. Sadly, I agree with the other reviewers that this is either a company that is in deep financial trouble or they are just a scam. Still keeping my fingers crossed that they'll send me my funds.

Hi Jeff,
We apologize that you felt the need to list your wine so low to sell it. Checking back into our communications, it looks like we offered to add a 15% discount to your listing multiple times but never got a response. Typically, we see faster sales for wine that is not in its ideal selling window by adding a small discount (10-20%).
It looks like your withdrawal was processed 3/21 so the account is now closed. If you need any further help, please let us know.
Cheers!

Extremely disappointing customer…
Extremely disappointing customer service. Can't sell the wine, even at a loss and they charge storage and late fees. Would never recommend this miserable company.
Spend your money on scratch tickets, a better investment.

Hi David,
We've reached out via email to discuss a strategy to get your listings sold. They are currently listed over FMV, which may be the problem in attracting a buyer. We are happy to help with your liquidation and we've waived the next 3 months of storage fees as well.
Cheers!

Yes, It is a SCAM!
I have been trying to close out my account for at least a year now. I always invest cautiously so I luckily only bought a single bottle of a reasonably price yet highly rated wine according to their reporting. I could not close the account without selling this single bottle which took about a year. Without a single email that the bottle had sold, it finally sold at a 35% loss. Still, I am unable to close this irritating account. It's like a parasite that you can't get rid of. I'm so grateful that I did not invest the thousands like so many others. I do not feel comfortable with them having my banking info and I really hope justice is served for all those misled and left with massive losses.
Response from VinovestJun 9, 2026
Hi Jessica,
We show your wine was sold in Feb 2026 and funds withdrew in March 2026. Trading bottles are meant for buy/sell on the marketplace, with no active management by our team. I do not show that your account email reached out to customer service for help at any point, but we'd be happy to assist if you have any future questions.
Cheers!

I would rate VinoVest zero stars.
I would rate VinoVest zero stars if possible. This has proven to be a deeply disappointing and frustrating experience.
The platform heavily promoted strong long-term returns through fine wine investments, which influenced my decision to commit capital over four years. While I fully understood and accepted the inherent risks of alternative investments, the reality has been far worse than anticipated. My portfolio is now down more than 50%, largely due to valuations at purchase that appear significantly inflated compared to prevailing market prices, compounded by ongoing fees that have eroded any potential gains.
Attempts to exit the investment have been equally problematic. Liquidation offers through their marketplace would have resulted in losses approaching 75%. When I instead requested shipment of the physical wine I own, VinoVest quoted shipping fees exceeding $2,000—roughly equivalent to the current stated value of my entire account. Furthermore, my initial shipping request in March 2025 was met with repeated delays and excuses, preventing fulfillment for months.
These issues point to serious concerns about transparency in valuations, account management practices, shipping logistics, and overall customer support. The company appears to overstate the stability and accessibility of wine as an investment while providing limited options for investors to realize value or access their assets.
I sincerely hope regulatory authorities, such as a state Attorney General, investigate these practices for potential misleading representations to consumers. A class action lawsuit may also be warranted to address the widespread dissatisfaction evident in numerous similar complaints. Prospective investors should proceed with extreme caution and thorough due diligence.
