this product was heavily marked as containing ingredients for Brazil Actual ingredient label Saw Palmetto extract,Wild Yam root extract, Sarsaparilla root extract, Nettle Leaf extract, Boron Amino acid chelate 5%,Tongkat Al (Eurycoma Longifolia),Horny Goat Weed nothing referring to Brazil see the breakdown of the ingredients below: ## Saw Palmetto Extract - **Origin:** Southeastern USA (Serenoa repens, a palm shrub) - **Natural/Man-made:** Natural - **Common uses:** Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), hair loss (DHT inhibition), male hormonal support - **Health risks:** Mild GI upset, headache, possible interaction with blood thinners and hormone therapies; some reports of liver injury at high doses --- ## Wild Yam Root Extract - **Origin:** North America, Central America (Dioscorea villosa) - **Natural/Man-made:** Natural - **Common uses:** Marketed for menopause symptoms, "natural progesterone," anti-inflammatory, libido support - **Health risks:** The body cannot convert its active compound (diosgenin) into hormones — that conversion requires lab synthesis. Large doses may cause nausea or vomiting. Misleading marketing around hormonal claims is a concern. --- ## Sarsaparilla Root Extract - **Origin:** Central and South America, Caribbean (Smilax genus) - **Natural/Man-made:** Natural - **Common uses:** Traditional blood purifier, testosterone support (largely unproven), skin conditions, flavoring (root beer originally) - **Health risks:** May enhance absorption of some drugs (digitalis, bismuth), increasing toxicity risk. GI irritation at high doses. --- ## Nettle Leaf Extract - **Origin:** Europe, Asia, North America (Urtica dioica) — widespread - **Natural/Man-made:** Natural - **Common uses:** BPH (often combined with saw palmetto), allergies, joint inflammation, blood sugar support - **Health risks:** Generally very safe. May lower blood pressure and blood sugar — caution with medications for those conditions. Diuretic effect. --- ## Boron Amino Acid Chelate 5% - **Origin:** Boron is a naturally occurring trace mineral (Turkey, USA, and Argentina are major sources). The chelate form is lab-processed — boron bound to an amino acid for better absorption. - **Natural/Man-made:** Natural mineral, man-made delivery form - **Common uses:** Bone health, testosterone and estrogen metabolism, cognitive function, reducing SHBG (which can raise free testosterone) - **Health risks:** Upper tolerable limit is 20mg/day. Excess causes nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and at extreme doses kidney damage. The 5% chelate means 5% elemental boron by weight — dose matters. --- ## Tongkat Ali (Eurycoma Longifolia) - **Origin:** Southeast Asia — Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam - **Natural/Man-made:** Natural - **Common uses:** Testosterone support, libido, male fertility, adaptogen/stress reduction, athletic performance - **Health risks:** Generally well-tolerated in studied doses. Concerns include mercury contamination in low-quality sourced products. May interact with immunosuppressants. Not recommended during pregnancy. --- ## Horny Goat Weed (Epimedium) - **Origin:** China, Mediterranean (used in Traditional Chinese Medicine for centuries) - **Natural/Man-made:** Natural - **Common uses:** Libido, erectile function (icariin, its active compound, is a PDE5 inhibitor — same mechanism as Viagra), bone density, fatigue - **Health risks:** Can thin the blood; avoid with anticoagulants. May lower blood pressure. High doses linked to increased heart rate, dry mouth, nosebleeds. Icariin has hormonal activity — caution with hormone-sensitive conditions. --- **Overall pattern:** This is a classic male hormonal/testosterone support stack. Most ingredients target DHT regulation, free testosterone, libido, or prostate health. The main cross-cutting risks are interactions with blood thinners, blood pressure medications, and hormone therapies. Quality sourcing matters significantly — contamination (heavy metals especially) is a real concern with botanical extracts from less regulated supply chains.
