My carpenter is literally having to redrill holes through the metal posts because the brackets at the bottom do not line up with the holes. Nightmare. Do you know how difficult it is to drill through metal? Many more issues as well but that one takes the cake. You have been warned.

Horrible company to work with
Horrible company to work with. We ordered this railing for our home through their sales rep Anthony. We sent him the exact specifications for our railing and we received subpar product and missing pieces on top of completely wrong length of railing. Calling customer service was a nightmare. The lady had absolutely no clue what she was talking about and it was very evident she was trying to cover up Viewrail’s mistake. She claimed we confirmed the specifications but could not provide the proof of said confirmation. In turn we had to pay even MORE to get the right product that this company messed up. I am very, very disappointed for the amount of money we paid for Viewrail to in turn totally mess up our order. Extremely dissatisfied with this company.

DON'T USE THIS COMPANY
I am a contractor and Viewrail was specified on a project. They were a nightmare to deal with once you got past the sales people. Engineering could not work with the seismic codes in California and we ended up doing the engineering for them. When the glass rails finally came they were missing a bunch of the clips, and some of the glass was cut to the wrong dimensions. They then charged us again for the missing clips and wanted to charge for the incorrect glass. I ended up having a local glass company cut the replacement glass. Don't be fooled by the nice website and sales people, it is a nightmare after they take your credit card details. They maybe ok for a very simple basic stair, but that is it. Save yourself a lot of frustration and don't work with this company.

I really wanted a nice railing …
I really wanted a unique and stylish cable rail for my new deck.
I cold called them and began designing a railing system.
My first contact was Rob Wallace. After my order was submitted and paid for I couldn’t get him on the phone. He stopped taking my calls. The main number would ring and ring. Finally sent me to customer service. Shelley was assigned to me.
Making design changes or adding new parts with someone in customer service versus my designer left me high and dry.
What happened you ask?
I was incorrectly delivered critically important corner posts. Stopped my project. This happened twice.
When I got the replacement post they were wrong! Another delay.
I asked for some kind of discount and they said no.
So I have 6 useless posts that I have to pay to dispose of.
Ron Wallace was a nice guy but once my design was done and PAID for he wouldn’t take my calls.
Lastly I designed a new cocktail handrail that won’t bend or deflect when you lean on it. It’s really nice.

Do not buy this product
Do not buy this product. Not customer oriented. Basically, if you are shorted on parts, it’s the customer’s fault. Overpriced for what you get, coupled with poor customer service. Horrible experience!

Costly nightmare
Costly nightmare. Wrong and missing parts, but they blame us.
A simple, do it yourself project becomes costly nightmare. Rec'd parts for a cable railing system when we purchased a rod railing system, handrail never added to order by salesperson. The instructions didn't "necessarily" apply to our set up, so we learned from one csr. The drawings were confusing.
When we began install, none of our professional, licensed carpenters could match the instructions with the pieces. I called 3 times and each time found we were missing a piece of the puzzle with the parts. Twice they shipped missing parts. A new team of 3 carpenters come out to solve this problem and still can't match instructions, they watch videos, they assemble but find we are missing many many more pieces. I contacted CS and they said there was no "evidence" that we are missing these pieces; therefore they must charge us $546 for additional parts. Perhaps we didn't install it correctly to need these extra parts or maybe we did and they were missing. We will never know, but what we do know is that the Company admitted to sending the wrong parts, confusing instructions, and now are charging us retail for the extra parts we need to finish this system that they ordered incorrectly from the start - because they have no evidence that they are missing??
All in all, I would never recommend this company to anyone because by the time we paid all of the subcontractors their hourly rate to watch the video's and return three times because of missing pieces, it would have been less expensive to actually hire a professional company to do this project.
We were extremely disappointed at the attitude they took when we found we needed more parts - and retail?? come on! Why would we lie to get extra pieces and parts that could never be used on anything else but this system??? You just lost another customer over stupid little parts of an order you screwed up.

I would give zero stars if possible
I would give zero stars if possible. I put a down payment on a staircase in November, and made final order in February, and was told multiple times that it was a 4-6 week delivery time, it took almost 16 weeks and resulted in three separate deliveries because parts were missing and “forgotten”. There is no accountability o and I was told several times that there was no way to expedite or to even speak with a manger even though every error was their fault. They even produced the stringer with the wrong angle and I had to hire a welded for several hundred dollars To fix it, and they refused to reimburse me. They “forgot” to produce the railing system which delayed ya several weeks. By far the worst vendor we used for our house I would dissuade anyone From using them. I’m actually shocked they’re still in business. Lastly, this is the second time I’ve written a review because the first time I was told by then that they would only ship the missing parts if I deleted the review first (sounds unbelievable but it’s true).
