Vermont Made FurnitureReviews of vermontmadefurniture.com

This is an unsolicited 6-Star, yes Six Star, review of Thurston's Vermont Made Furniture in Brandon, Vermont. After searching all the big box and smaller box stores for Bed Room furniture, I gave up. I'm not easy to please which my Wife will attest to and it doesn't help that I'm in the Design Field ( 39 years as an Architectual Lighting Designer in NYC ) and still going strong. It all started when I saw a social media post about Thurton's. I inquired about some wood samples and met Mike B. who introduced me the the Vermont Made Furniture manufacturing process. They don't just assemble: they buy local New England raw lumber, mill it on site, plane it, sand it and finish it and literally create a Work Of Art. I knew I wanted Walnut but I am not the traditional heartwood lover; instead I prefer the Heart ( dark ) and Sap ( light ) variant. It's more dimensional and visually aesthetic to me. After exchanging samples and photos of my preferences Mike assured me he knew what I wanted and I put my trust in him. To make a long story shorter, I didn't expect what I received. ( Please note that this is the first Bedroom Furniture my wife and I have ever bought in 35 years of marriage ). When my wife saw it she said " It's Beautiful ! " Yup, Happy Wife, happy lighting designer. In reality the Wood Grain jumps out at you in a 3-dimensional way. In my humble opinion, do not make the mistake of buying garbage from a big box unless you want to Throw It Away at a later time; and That is Not eco-friendly. My Daughter, after seeing the furniture, said " I want this after you're through with it. Please put it in your Will ". Sorry Tylor, I guess you lost out. This is true Heirloom Quality Furniture I'm honered to have in my home until the next generation inherits it.

Every interaction with Mike was courteous, prompt, and professional. The entire process from order to delivery was smooth. If you are looking for high quality locally made furniture with competitive pricing, look no further. I hope to be a repeat customer.

Ease of ordering and great price. Excellent craftsmanship and wood quality of bureau! Arranging delivery convenient. Delivery and setup of bureau included. Polite and informative customer service.

We purchased an Amesbury bed with cherry harvest finish, and couldn't be happier. Beautifully crafted and has a rich, warm finish. The online photo doesn't do it justice. Entire process was smooth, from initial contacts with customer service for answers to a few questions to the white-glove delivery to us in Woodstock, NY.

The bedroom furniture we ordered is as beautiful as I'd hoped and even exceeded my expectations for quality. I was so pleased that I ordered more pieces the following week!

Hard to find solid wood furniture made with skill and love, but Vermont Made Furniture is the real deal. Superb quality and excellent communication throughout. Fantastic delivery process as well. So glad we bought our coffee table from you.

I cannot say enough good things about the king-size Captain's Bed I purchased from Thurston Handcrafted Vermont Made Furniture. A special thank you to Michele for the outstanding customer service I received from the moment I placed my order through the white-glove delivery. The entire experience was seamless and professional. I was absolutely delighted with the quality and craftsmanship of the bed. It solved a major challenge in my smaller guest bedroom. I wanted my visitors to enjoy the comfort of a king-size bed, but adding a traditional dresser would have left very little space in the room. The Captain's Bed was the perfect solution. With six spacious drawers on each side, my guests have plenty of room to unpack their suitcases and settle in comfortably, making them feel right at home. The bed is not only beautiful and exceptionally well made, but it is also incredibly functional. I highly recommend Thurston Handcrafted Vermont Made Furniture to anyone looking for quality furniture, excellent service, and outstanding craftsmanship.

Great customer service and great quality furniture. Well made and beautiful.
