Very easy to filter down to the exact type of teacher you want and easy to schedule a class. The interface works well enough although I’ve had a couple problems with it crashing in the middle of a class. I like the workspace and the easy messaging. Like Verbling better than other language apps I have used.

1)The connection and network signal are sometime terrible when using in mainland China. 2)Sometimes you need to gives the teacher a break if they are having class after class, in short, make every lesson only last for 55 mins, then combine the saved 5 mins to a new class, like buy 12 get 1 free exclude other promotion code.

Pretty solid platform. Sometimes my teacher and I experienced weird issues with screen sharing or audio but 90% of the time it works. The scheduler can be a bit wonky. A lot of times your previously scheduled lesson does not appear immediately in the schedule. You have to exit the calendar and refresh. Besides these small things, everything is great! It was easy to find my awesome teacher and everything else works pretty well!

The Website is great, some teachers are great, others not!

is a good application, the teachers are great and the tools too. the only problem is that sometimes problems occur in the reception of audio and only resolves to open and close the program.

There is a wide variety of teachers for all languages. Scheduling a class works really well, it translates it into your time and the teacher's availability is already there. It is easy to do standing/reoccurring lesson times. -1 Star only because of connection issues during a wired session and the UI doesn't make it straightforward to navigate to homework.

Most of the instructors are qualified, organized and diligent. Some are absolutely excellent and a few miss the mark. You may have to sample a bit to find someone who matches your goals. One challenge which has come up multiple times for me is that many professors join Verbling and offer an attractive price, but it ends up being more of an introductory fee. Soon after you start with them, they raise their price. In fact, I have contacted teachers before starting with them and asked if they intended to raise their price, and without exception, they've said they would not be raising their price. Nevertheless, they raised their price shortly after I committed to studying with them. It's an understandable that they want to add to their student rolls and want to charge what the market will bear, but it is very disruptive. The key to language studies is consistency and that includes being able to study with the same teacher for an extended period of time. Despite this issue, Verbling is an excellent place for the serious student to develope a second language.
