VerblingReviews of verbling.com

I have used Verbling nearly 200 classes over 2 years. Verbling provides an excellent platform for students to connect with validated tutors in global. A 1-hour class was great when I had plenty of free time. However, as I have less free time in the workplace, it's hard to schedule with a tutor. I think there might be a significant unmet need for 30-min or 40-min class.

I really like this website. After completing the Duolingo Portuguese, I wanted to progress further. I chose Verbling over it's competitors solely because it was the cheapest site I found. I love how easy the site is to use, and my Portuguese has increased tremendously. The one continuous problem I have is internet connection. After over 10 lessons with different teachers in different cities, I still have not had 1 full conversation without some breakup. I believe this is because of the slower internet connections in South America, but I did have to leave one of my teachers because the internet was too poor (we wasted 10-20% of every lesson just dealing with the bad connection). If there's a way to fix the connection problem, I'll give it 5 stars. But until then I'll keep it at 4.

Lessons duration need to be more flexible. Why don't you add the option to have 45 or 30 minutes lesson

Verbling is a great platform for learning languages. Sometimes the audio has issues but generally it is a good space to learn.
