VerblingReviews of verbling.com

Verbling is good language-study platform. There are too many good things to enumerate them all. There are couple things which I feel have a room for improvement: * Flashcard - build-in flashcard system is not great for me; very blank, not memorizable; I've given it a fair go, but it just didn't work. I've ended up copying all flashcard to Memrise * Ratings - I felt like teachers rating system is not really giving too much information. Almost all teachers have 4.5-5 starts, so no real comparison.

Verbling has been a great platform. I have had 124 lessons as a teacher and I really enjoy the flexibility of being able to teach whenever I have time. The one thing I would change is the fact that lesson plan drafts are not saved if you accidentally close Verbling. I have started planning lessons, accidentally exited my browser and all the hard work is gone.

Scheduling and reliability of instructors to show up is top notch and it is helpful to get reminders over email and text about upcoming sessions. Billing works great and seems to support promotions/discounting offers. Connection quality varies by session. There are usually about 6 instances in a 60 min session where the sound cuts out and the teacher or I have to repeat each ourselves a couple times. Some of the more specialized features aren't intuitive to teachers and students, so we don't use them as much as we could (flashcards, homework).

The system is great, every time a had a problem I had a response from the support people, the only thing I can cuestion is that Verbling should verified the teachers are real teachers, some of them, quite a lot to be honest, they just teach cause they are native and instead of teaching something important, they keep talking and listening about irrelevant things. When I book a lesson I’d like to find profesional teachers not only native people. There should be a part where says if the teacher is really qualified or not.
