With in 10 mins of my ad being live on Autotrader I had an email asking to contact them via what’s app. Same story as the rest of your i offered to do a green flag or rac cheaper check but wasn’t good enough. I left the conversation if you feel the need to use this service feel free and i will deducted the check -price when you arrive tomorrow to view the car.

SCAM. As per previous comments, Lee said they would drive over 70 miles from Leicester and pick up and pay for the car today if we did this vehicle check, paid for it ourselves and then he would pay us on collection. Also asked is we wanted cash or bank transfer as payment for the car. All communication was via whatsapp with sob story about being caught out with an incorrect autotrader report previously in an attempt to persuade us to do this expensive check. It was the oddity of the conversation that made us check out the website before even clicking on the link.

Exactly the same scenario as other reviewers sent, I didn't fall for it thanks to coming here. Asked to contact via WhatsApp, asking pointed questions all good, wants to come and have a tests drive. Asked to run a check as he was cammed before, he's happy to add to car coat once everything comes clean. Sent a link this specific websites, I suggested running different cheaper check since it's my coat, but instsited on vehicles inspection.com. dodged a bullet

Silas T did his best! I’m so shocked auto trader doesn’t let you know about these scammers. Luckily I had an inkling he was a baddie so pushy for me to use this vehicle check. He also wanted my details for WhatsApp! Autotrader pull your finger out and get rid of these scammers

It is a scam! It scams the mechanic too!!!

It would appear I am the latest in a long line of suckers that fell for this one, and I spent years working in a heavily regulated financial industry! I would suggest that anyone who clicked this link from a prospective “buyer” freezes or cancels the card they used to pay with.

Exactly the same as others , had contact via what’s app, went through expected questions, wasted loads of time, then asked for this specific report, sent link, followed by “don’t worry about the cost I’ll sort it out with you in the price of the car, its essential I have the report from here as I really trust the company” Clicked the link and at £55 for a check you can get elsewhere for between £5-£10 was ridiculous. Plus autotrader do the basic checks in the price of the advert, Clearly a scam, read reviews, suspicions confirmed, Don’t fall for it!!! Need a zero or negative star review for this type of thing !! I did a little digging, vehicle inspections uk was dissolved in 2024!! Update , we went a little further and checked the ip address we were contacted from, yep “Josh” was based in Islamabad, once confronted and told we knew where he was, he blocked us immediately!!

Scam .: someone tried to buy my car and would only do so if I purchased a report from here .. clearly scamming company .. that’s what there doing now , contacting you via WhatsApp’s and asking to get one of these reports .. dodgy dodgy
