VARTA Consumer BatteriesReviews of varta-consumer.com

This batch of AA batteries aren't lasting anywhere near as long as previous packs. I used to get 14 to 16 hours from them. The power use / drain is continuous and predictable as they are used in a radio but I'm only getting about 8 hours from these ones (bought in boxes of 40 and 4 boxes at a time). They are well within date (exp. 2032) but just fizzle out really quickly in comparison to previous experience. I have been using the brand for years but I am going to have to look at switching as battery consumption at these prices are too expensive to maintain at the rate they are being used.

My rechargeable AA battery leaked after 2 months. It took me dozens of emails, multiple pictures and videos to finally get the warranty claim "accepted". I put that in quotes because it was not really accepted, they used "As a good will gesture we will send to you a pack of rechargeable batteries", which to me sounds ridiculous. I purchased these batteries, I only charged them with a VARTA charger, and them fail after 2 months and I don't get a replacement pronto? 21 July: "...they will be in the post to you this week." 12 Aug: As of now (8 full weeks later) I still haven't received the batteries, after nudging this is what I get "Apologies for the delay. I have been out of office and will post them this Friday." Finally received the parcel mid September (increased the rating to 2 stars).

I bought the Varta power bank (20000maH) and everything worked fine. Unfortunately, it stopped working after 4 months. This product had no warranty, so I had to buy another one. I won't recommend this product, it's better to buy a more expensive one that offers a longer product lifetime.

Not very great, I had two AA batteries in a digital clock. They were in about three weeks and needed replacing. I bought the batteries from my local B&Q, they were brand new. I went back to B&Q after the batteries stopped working, to try and resolve this. I managed to get a refund for the batteries, as I had the packaging and the receipt. I'm very glad I did not throw those away, as I came very close to doing so at one moment. A battery or more made by this company of beginners is like a pack of cards I guess and maybe now and again they'd make a full packet of quality batteries. I must however, say that 9/10 of their stock is faulty, bad quality and likely to fail. On top of that, they are not cheap for what they are either! Set aside your money and buy something a bit more reliable, who knows, it could save you a trip back to the place you purchased them. Only to get back your money with no power to the gadget you bought your batteries for!
