I installed Varta AAA in several remotes. They have corroded and oozed something out...rendering a couple of remotes useless. I think that Varta AAA are the worst batteries I have ever encountered and would advise people to not install them into anything they value.

I purchased a Varta battery with high hopes, given their reputation and the 5-year warranty. However, my experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. After just 14 months, the battery began to fail, struggling to start my vehicle and eventually going completely dead. Despite having it checked by a mechanic and confirming that there’s no issue with the alternator or anything draining the battery, Varta's customer service was unhelpful and dismissive. Their warranty seems to be more of a gimmick than a genuine commitment to quality. When I reached out for assistance, I was told that without proof of maintenance, my warranty could be voided. What a ridiculous policy! I’ve maintained the battery as instructed, yet I’m left feeling like I’m the one at fault for their product’s failure. It's astonishing that a battery from a reputable brand could underperform to this extent, especially when a cheaper alternative lasted longer and performed better. Varta's customer service was frustrating to deal with, and I felt like I was talking to a brick wall rather than a company that values its customers. In conclusion, I cannot recommend Varta batteries. Save your money and invest in a brand that stands by its products and treats customers with respect. My experience has been a complete letdown, and I wish I had gone with a different brand from the start.

I have used many Varta batteries over the years in various applications. I will never purchase them again. They have leaked in an ruined remote controls, toys, torches, clocks and other devices. They should be banned. Terrible quality. Spend your money with the better brands or your appliances/devices will be ruined.

Batteria sostituita da un meccanico di fiducia, durata 3 anni esatti. Dopo un controllo del rivenditore, verdetto non è in garanzia. Vergognoso i prodotti che non valgono nulla. Mai più, sconsiglio assolutamente.

We purchased a new battery in January 24 which failed in Dec 24 (it lasted 11 months). When I took it back to Battery World they advised me that they would need to get it checked from manufacturer. They have just advised me that it did not meet warranty conditions, yet they could not tell me why. Needless to say their warranty isn't worth the paper it's written on and I will never buy a Varta battery again. Given me a Marshall battery anyday.

I sent VARTA an email with full details of the dud batteries and they still haven't acknowledged my contact. Shameful behaviour from such a prestigious company 😕

In maggio ho sostituto le batterie della mia meteo statio oregon le avevo acquistate la settimana prima e scadevano entrambe nel 2028 : 4 erano alkaline varta AA e 4 Panasonic alkaline (di cui una era stata appena messa in un orologio alessi e quindi ne rimanevano 3 panasonic) : ribadisco NUOVE acquistate la settimana prima al IPERTOSANO. Apro la stazione meteo e vedo che me ne sevono 4 per cui essendo tutte aa alkaline scad 2028 inserisco 3 panasonic e una VARTA. Oggi sorpresa : la stazione meteo segnala batteria scarica. la prendo in mano e vedo che c'è del "sale essiccato" su un lato : apro e vedo che la batteria varta ha perso il liquido. tolgo tutto e porto a pulire il vano batterie ed a controllare i contatti del mio apparecchi nel negozio di fiducia spiegando il problema e mi sento rispondere che la batteria nonostante la scadenza 20258 era difettosa . invio la mail a varta e UDITE UDITE la colpa è mia perchè ho mescolato batterie con stesso voltaggio e della stessa tipologia AA ALKALINE ma di marche diverse e questo non si fa ( non ho mescolato batterie al lithio con alkaline ma 2 marche di alkaline ) prima di sostiurli perchè esaurite avevo messo 2 duracell e 2 Energizer alkaline e non è accaduto nulla e non ho dovuto spendere altri soldi per ripolire i contatti. non comprate VARTA Se ci fosse la possibilità potrei anche ALLEGARE LE FOTO , le stesse che ho inviato a VARTA .....
