Refund promised, then no response I bought a Vagal Buddy for £349. I was not happy with it, so I returned it under Vagal's 45-day money-back guarantee. Vagal confirmed that my return was accepted and stated in writing that my full £349 refund would be processed within 10 working days of receiving the device. Royal Mail confirms that the return was delivered on 19 September 2026. The promised refund period passed, and my follow-up emails received no response. I have now had to raise the matter formally with my credit-card provider. I am leaving this review so prospective buyers are aware of my experience with the refund process. I will update this review if Vagal resolves the matter.

VAGEL has some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I’ve contacted them through their email and their website’s “Contact Us” form, only to receive a generic response saying someone would get back to me. Then radio silence. Multiple attempts, no response. Calling the number on their website hasn’t helped either. I also had a terrible experience with their 45-day money-back guarantee when I needed to return the device in the past. Getting anyone to acknowledge or assist with the return was impossible, and I was responsible for the return shipping cost. If you don’t trust my experience, read the reviews on Trustpilot and decide for yourself. At the time of writing, VAGAL has a 1.8-star rating. There are plenty of companies offering similar products. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. Save yourself the frustration and hassle.

While the product works for a very short period of time, the 2 units I purchased both failed within a few weeks. One wouldn't register, one simply died completely. This is not what you anticipate after spending over $750 ..... What a waste. Response from the vendor has gone silent and I've meanwhile disputed the charges with my credit card provider. Happy to return both units once I get a return address. You cannot leave a review on their site - get an error message....

Had the predecessor to their Vagal Buddy tVNS device. Loved it, and the customer service was top-notch back around 2022. Fast forward to April 2026 and I sought to try their TENS Vagal Boost to see if it would be an effective lower price option for my functional medicine clients. Due to incorrect wording on their site that stated that the silver ear clips worked with all of their corded devices, one of my clients and I both bought incorrect replacement ear clips to go with the TENS Vagal Boost. We also received the TENS Vagal Boost units with zero use instructions and the pdf link to the instructions on the site did not work. I e-mailed them immediately. After 8 days there was no response. I e-mailed them again and got a rude response blaming me for their website's incorrect wording and my client and I buying the wrong extra ear clips. They didn't even respond with use instructions. I wrote back again and said that my client and I would both like refunds on our purchases. At that point they told me they would send both of us return authorizations for the expensive ear clips we didn't need and send us the correct/cheaper ones free. They never sent a thing, not even the address to which to send returns. My client also recieved nothing. I have e-mailed them over 7 times from May to July telling them that I will be doing a charge-back on my credit card if I do not get the return authorization and address. They have not written back at all. This company is now apparently in the hands of scammers. Too bad, because the predecessor to the Vagal Buddy tVNS was fantastic.

This company is a complete scam my device arrived defective and would not charge. They will not respond to any contact I have made. I initiated a charge back on my credit card. These people commit straight up fraud. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THEM.

My package was reported as delivered however I never received it, so I contacted their customer service. I was told an investigation was opened, however then I was ghosted for what is now 3-4 months with no updates in the investigation. Somehow, they even managed to contest the report with VISA, while still giving me no updates. I purchased this due to fibromyalgia and insomnia, simply trying to get some help with my disabilities. And they took my trust and money and wouldn't even work with me on trying to figure out where my package went.

When the Buddy tVNS actually runs a session, it works. The problem is the device UI: the digital navigation is laggy and often doesn’t respond right away, especially when setting session time or vibration/intensity. It can take a while to register inputs or start. It functions most of the time, but at this price it still feels unreliable. Support wasn’t able to resolve it, so I’m considering another vendor. I’m open to working it out with them and will update this review either way. I tried to leave a two star review on their website. Keeps saying "There is an error. Please contact customer support." Given they are trying to control their reviews, I'm moving this to the lowest possible review star.
