Very difficult to spend the money.
Not a scam. But ........... very difficult to use. Very few merchants actually take the prepaid visa card, which was very surprising - but anyway. Not worth the hassle. Also - crazy expensive fees

US Unlocked is a service that allows non-US residents to use virtual cards to shop online from US retailers. Some benefits of using US Unlocked:1. Access to US-only e-commerce: Many US-based online retailers only ship to US addresses. By using US Unlocked, you can create a virtual US address.2. Lower shipping costs: Shipping internationally can be expensive, but by using a US address through US Unlocked, you can take advantage of domestic US shipping rates and save money by consolidating shipments.3. Secure transactions: US Unlocked provides a secure platform for online transactions, protecting your personal and financial information. 4. Two card types: Unlimited number of merchant-specific virtual cards that lock to a specific merchant after a single use. These cards are great for managing online subscriptions. One-time-use cards that can only be used for a single transaction for the most secure shopping experience.5. Simplified shopping experience: By using US Unlocked virtual cards, you can avoid the hassle of currency conversions and transaction fees that may arise when using a non-US prepaid card.Overall, US Unlocked can be useful for those looking to simplify the online purchasing process from US retailers.

Lots of BS fees. To get funds back that were misrouted to them I am being told I have to pay both a load and unload fee and potentially a wire fee too. "Yes we no longer support Western Union but we also informed you how this can be solved. We need to submit an inquiry to our payment partner in order to help locate the payment. We provided steps on what you need to do before we can submit an inquiry: 1. Send us the proof of payment - which you have already done 2. Login to your US Unlocked account and create a load request so there will be a payment reference # where we can link the payment and we can submit an inquiry - we are still waiting for your update that you have done this step. We understand that you want to have the funds returned, but we cannot return the funds unless it has been loaded to your US Unlocked account. Here are a few things to note: 1. Funds must be loaded before a refund can be initiated 2. Refunds are subject to a non-waivable $11.50 Fee. 3. In some cases where we have to issue a wire transfer due to not being able to refund through our payment processor (Money that has been in the account for over 5 months), there will be an additional $25 fee. 4. Load fees are non-refundable. We look forward to your reply that you have already created a new load request and payment reference number so we can start submitting an inquiry. Best, Ruby"

The worst customer service in the world! It is impossible to verify my identity. Tried over 10 times. They have now frozen my account and I can not access my money. Customer service does not respond. They have finaly responded after this review. I will be refunded they say.

TLDR : Wasted our time and money for a service that didn't work. We first tried to use the "one time use card" to buy a phone from B&H(which they mentioned was a supported merchant) and it failed. Had to wait for 10 days for it to credit back to our usunlock account. The customer service said we should use the "merchant only" card and so we tried a 2nd time on target(also supported merchant)... And guess what. It failed too. We decided to ask for a refund. And it took about 2 weeks until they finally refund it. We lost about 60usd for something that didnt work. Customer service wasn't professional too but just happy we got our money back.
