I could not pick up my record
I could not pick up my record, in person, at Maryland Vital Records Office, 14735 Main Street, Upper Marlboro, MD 20772-3050. Everyone in and around that location kept sending me to different rooms and buildings. The office was never found! I needed the record to complete the name error on my Social Security account and card. This was a total waste of my time and money. I could have completed the correction the same day at the Social Security Administration if I had an updates Birth Certificate that included a file number in the upper right corner. I ended up having to order the updated birth certificate online. I do not know when it will arrive and how long it will take to make another appointment to make the correction on my card.
