Bait and Switch
I found my way to this site based on a price comparison site finding the lowest price for $100 FV silver bags. I had never used them before for purchases. I signed up for their site based on that. When I placed the bag for purchase it came up with a price more than $150 higher! I used ACH transfer as my payment method and it was still showing $150 higher. I cancelled my purchase with them and went with monument metals instead. The price was almost $100 higher than what USAGold was offering but I REALLY DO NOT APPRECIATE a bait and switch where price is concerned. The monument metals price while $100 higher than the price advertised by USA gold was lower than the price in my basket at USA gold and it was actually LOWER than advertised. I appreciated the honesty at least. I related this experience on a stacker site I frequent as well. So I wouldn't expect any orders from them! Addendum: I have read the business' response to my review. This is totally and completely inadequate. Your policy that you won't give the ACH price or deal with a customer on an ACH basis is three standard deviations below the norm for the industry. I can deal with SDBullion, Monument Metals, Texas Precious Metals or any number of other dealers from day 1 using an e-check, and did so when I was a brand new customer with those dealers. I am considered a VIP at SDBullion having bought 5 comex deliverable bars from them during the covid silver crash and another 30 comex deliverable bars from them when silver broke $50. They took e-checks for each of those. I dealt directly with Tyler Wall on the former and with his COO, Cole Keller on the latter. Except with Monument Metals I've been dealing with the others for years, with sdbullion for decades. I've made some recent smaller buys with Monument and have ALWAYS been able to pay by e-check. If you have concerns about a new customer or any customer just ask for a credit card as SDBullion does to cover 10% or 15% or whatever of the charges if the deal falls through. If you want, emphasize, that's just to guaranty the order not pay. Problem SOLVED! A bank wire isn't the answer either. Bank of America charges a fee for that, so still this is NOT the advertised price! And if I am getting an advertised price on a price comparison site, I had damned well better be able to get it. Otherwise this is precisely what I've called it: "Bait and Switch"! My bag of coins from Monument Metals arrives today. They're quick. Kindly understand THE ONLY reason I was dealing with you at all was the bait and switch price I was quoted. That was THE ONLY price listed at the comparison price i used. If you insist on these retarded business practices, kindly make sure you advertise that non-competitive price with them, rather than one not generally available. All I've gotten from you is aggravation. And I'll remember this in the future. I wouldn't do business with you after this for shoe laces or a stick of gum. It's a matter of integrity.

Thank you for your feedback. We'd like to clarify how our pricing works, since we believe it explains the difference you saw. The price listed on comparison sites is our wire transfer price, which includes a 4% cash discount. Card prices are the full list price, and the difference on a $100 face value bag is about $160. The comparison site you used shows both figures, and our product pages list both side by side. ACH is available only to established clients. ACH fraud is widespread in the precious metals industry, so first-time orders are paid by wire transfer or card. Choosing wire transfer at checkout applies the discount and brings the total to the advertised price. Your order was never placed or charged, and the advertised price was available by wire throughout. Since your visit, checkout now opens on wire transfer, so the advertised price is the first total you see. We've also made the ACH policy clearer on our product and checkout pages. We tried to reach you by phone to walk through this and left a voicemail. We'd still be glad to help. Call us at 1-800-869-5115 whenever it's convenient. — USAGOLD
