USA1 Industries was founded in 2008 by Randy in Burlington, NC. The company initially focused on providing restoration parts online for 1973-87 Chevy & GMC Square Body Trucks. Randy, however, soon found that the interior parts available from other manufacturers were disappointing customers. This led him to invest significant time researching original colors, materials, and trim options for these trucks. His dedication to authenticity and quality resulted in a new product line that would become the staple offering of USA1 Industries.

Probably the worst experience I've had with a company.

My experience with USA1 was defined by dealing with Randy Shelton a couple of years ago. It was pretty much a disaster. Money was taken and then it took forever for parts to start trickling out. A year later my order had still not be fulfilled completely. Randy got involved and many promises were made in the beginning. Most were not kept. Eventually promises disappeared and he tried to get me to buy from his competitors so he could washbhis hands of it all. I told him that I would agree if a full refund for the whole order was issued BECAUSE I was going to end up with mismatched parts (colors aren't the same from one supplier to the next). That didn't go over well. Eventually a BBB complaint was filed and things got pretty ugly. In the last few months Randy has hired a new PR guy. He has called and talked to me and says things are different now. Time will tell. Buyer beware for now.

I would like to start off by saying that this situation happened back in 2021 which was an unfortunate time in our country and businesses dealing with the obstacles that COVID made for years to come. So, while we do value this review, we would like to make that statement and ask all future readers to show a little grace during a trying time for all businesses but especially small businesses owners. We won’t dispute that what you described was frustrating, and we understand why it left a lasting negative impression. Delays, incomplete orders, and inconsistent communication are not acceptable, and we regret that this was your experience. Over the past years since Covid, we have made significant changes to how USA1 operates, including restructuring internal processes, improving supplier coordination, and bringing on dedicated support and PR to ensure customers are heard and issues are handled promptly and transparently. While that doesn’t undo what happened in the past, it is intended to prevent situations like this from happening again. We appreciate you acknowledging the outreach and conversations that have taken place recently. We understand your hesitation, and we respect that trust takes time to rebuild. Our goal moving forward is simple: clear communication, accountability, and follow-through. If you’re ever open to continuing the conversation directly, we remain willing to do so.
