Update 05/08/2003: I have contiued to use UkeySoft since my last update and am happy to report that it has generally worked well for me, and on the two occasions it didn't the support team responded quickly to my requests for help. Once was a known problem on their part, which they quickly fixed. The other was a problem on my end that they were able to help me correct. There are a couple of technical issues that I think could be handled better, so I can't give them 5 stars, but I'd give them 4 1/2 if I could. The things I would like better are a) A graceful handling of inaccessible files in a playlist should give a meaningful error message, and executionshould continue. b) They should give more information about and greater control of their output fie formats. It is difficult for me to know which format will give me the best results for my purpose. c) Let the user build a list from various playlists or individual tracks rather that just working on one entire plalist at a time. Update: After I wrote a very negative and well documented complaint on TrustPilot I finally received a response at 00:45 (12:45 AM) this morning through TrustPilot. "Reply from UkeySoft Hi, I am sorry for late reply. Because we had encountered some problems in last week. Now that we have fixed this issue, UkeySoft Tidal Music Converter 1.5.4 Updated. please update your software and try again. Download xxx [link redacted as per Trustpilot policy] If you have any question, please send email to us support at ukeysoft.com [actual email address redacted as per Trustpilot policy] Thanks." And indeed it works again, as well as ever. I would never have posted the bad review if only UkeySoft had bothered to respond to my direct emails. I should not have to call UkeySoft out publicly to get them to at least aknowledge my report of a problem. That said, the program is working again and I am back in biz. :-D The upside is that this program does for me what others don't; it downloads and converts files at near network speeds, typically 10x real time overall. I'm hoping that the filks a UkeySoft will take away from this that it is better business for them to bt straight with customers than to ignore them while working on the problem. We all know that they are in a cat-and-mouse game with TIdal (and similarly, with others). I think that most of us understand that sometimes things will stop working. I bought UkeySoft Tidal Music Coverter in October of this year. It worked find until Dec. 16 I will let the emails speak for themselves: ==== Dec 12 ==== subject: Tidal Music Converter Stopped Working to:support at ukeysoft [email redacted as per trustpilot policy] For the first time, today I can no longer convert files. I have been able to do so in the past without problems. ==== No Response ==== ==== Dec. 14 ==== Tidal Music Converter no longer works. 2nd Inquiry to:support at ukeysoft [email redacted as per trustpilot policy] After working quite well for a while Tidal Music Converter has suddenly stopped working. It does not convert files and does not time out. The progress wheel just keeps spinning for hours and even days. I'm not demanding a quick fix, but I would like to know that you know about the problem, so please at least acknowledge my email.… ==== No Response ==== Since then I have received emails with subject lines "Warning: message 1p5TJ7-0006zO-2K delayed 24 hours" yesterday and "Warning: message 1p5TJ7-0006zO-2K delayed 48 hours" today. All this from a company that touts its "7*24 [sic] Nice Support" and yet can't even accept a support request yet is able to garner large numbers of reviews praising its support. I undserstand that this particular product is engaged in a cat and mouse game with Tidal, but at least acknowledge the problem or at least my attempts to contact them. BTW I don't use this product to gain access to music files for free, I only use it as backup for their streaming service when DJing.
