We purchased 4 UBlockout shades for our bedroom in our new home and we couldn't be happier. We opted for the remote-controlled shades and we oriented them to come down from top to bottom. Our contractor installed them and he said they were easy to install, the instructions were clear, and programming the remote was straightforward. (You can program the remote on several different channels so that all shades come down at one time, or you can do several different combos on the remote channel to have only certain shades come down). He was so impressed with the shades that he hopes to eventually buy some for his own home. We did the "guaranteed measurement" appointment via Zoom and it went well and was easy (we used a laser measurer). We've been using the shades since mid June 2025 and are just so impressed with how they really do block out all light. I've never slept better! It's one of those things that, once you get them, you wonder how you ever lived without it. We open the shades only about 12 inches when we wake up and, after almost 4 months of daily use, we still haven't had to recharge the motors. Are they pricey? Yes. Are they worth it? Also yes.

This is our seventh of eight Ublockout shades we have installed. This one was a little different because it is on the back door and there is a raised trim around the window that holds the glass inside the door. We were able to chat with a technician before we ordered to confirm our idea for a frame would work. We also took advantage of the measure guarantee to talk with a representative to get the exact measurements we needed. For the seventh time this entire process was OUTSTANDING. We received our shade very quickly and are now getting ready to measure for our final shade. We cannot put into words how happy we are with every shade we have purchased and the support we have received from your company. Thank you!!!

The whole process from ordering my u block out shade, measuring the opening and the help they offer. The email that keep me informed on how my shades are going and what was being done. Letting me know when it was shipped to getting the tracking number to track my order. the delivery was fast and on time. The packing of the shade in the box was phenomenal, arrived with no damage to the shade. Instructions are precise and to the point, easy to follow. My insulation was fast and easy, it fit like a glove. Operation of shade is as promised easy and no light comes through.

The UBlockout team was SUPER helpful and did everything humanly possible to ensure that the system would fit correctly and that I would have an easy install....which I did. The installation of the system was a breeze and took less than 30 min for two blinds by myself.

These are amazing blackout shades! I previously purchased customized shades from another company that was unable to deliver the blackout quality I was seeking. I took a chance with Ublockout and was pleasantly surprised by the complete darkness. This is EXACTLY what I was hoping for. I utilized the zoom call to help me ensure my measurements were correct and installed them on my own quickly. Last night felt like the longest night of my life with great sleep due to the complete black out. I purchased the smarthub as well to set a timer to open on their own to gently wake me because you'll never know when the sun rises with these blackout shades. AMAZING!!!

I bought the insured measurement and it’s was definitely worth every dollar, came out perfect!

I had a gazillion questions, which their support site (Joshua Hartnett) answered .. EVERY question, and they even sent me a sample packet of their products so I could see the choices and know exactly what we were purchasing. As senior citizens we don't do "DIY" projects any more, and they referred me to a local handyman (who incidentally was terrific and very knowledgeable about the shades - and complimentary about company and product) to measure and install the shades. These shades are just fantastic -- we had that real "WOW" moment when they were installed and the shades were lowered the first time... no light coming in the window at all-- zero! They ARE what they advertise. We opted for motorization and it's very easy to get the charging cord onto the shade. The shades and frames themselves are very well made and do not detract from the room style at all. If you are thinking about purchasing them and wonder if they are worth the money ... the answer is yes. YES. They will block out all light and make you wonder why you waited so long!
