The billing system is unnecessarily complicated and difficult to understand. Even after deleting the account, charges were still processed. A refund was requested, but there was no successful resolution. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this service. Avoid it if you want transparent billing practices and responsive customer support.

Terrible
Terrible, doesn't work. I tried multiple times and still didn't pass an AI detector. I asked for a refund and they just said no and offered no explanation. Total waste of money.

Scam company using tricky flow for renewal
Scam company using tricky flow for subscription trial.
Edit: I was charged and I'm unable to get a refund for a service that I didn't use. You refund policy is misleading, the infinite number of people complaining are the proof that the way you work is unethical. I requested charge back from my bank and I will file a complaint with the consumer protection association of my country.

Refund refused for an honest checkout mistake — inconsistent application of the no-refund policy
On 26 May 2026 I subscribed online to the annual Ultimate plan by mistake — I intended to subscribe to the monthly plan. The amount charged was EUR 427.91. I noticed the mistake immediately, contacted support the same day through chat and email, and asked to convert the plan from annual to monthly with refund of the difference. I have never used the service after the purchase.
Support refused the refund twice, citing the standard “no refund” policy. No assessment of the individual circumstances was made, even though I am a PhD researcher in Italy living on a gross annual income of EUR 14,889 (certified by my Italian tax statement), so the EUR 427.91 charge represents about one third of my net monthly income.
Three facts that future users may want to verify directly on this page:
1. On TwainGPT’s own pricing page, the annual Ultimate plan is presented as “$40 / month, billed yearly” — a monthly figure — while the real one-off charge at checkout is USD 480, twelve times the figure visually emphasised. The “Annually” toggle is pre-selected by default.
2. On this very Trustpilot page, a 5-star review posted four days before my purchase reports that the company did refund another customer who described their case as a “purchasing mistake” — the same wording I used. The refusal in my case is therefore not the uniform application of a no-refund rule.
3. TwainGPT’s public Help Center expressly states that any customer who initiates a chargeback will have their account “automatically terminated”. Under EU consumer law and Mastercard merchant rules, retaliating against a lawful chargeback is not enforceable.
I have formally exercised my EU right of withdrawal (Directive 2011/83/EU; Articles 52 et seq. of the Italian Consumer Code) on 27 May 2026, the first day of the 14-day statutory period, and I have not used the service. The refund is owed under EU law regardless of the company’s internal policy.
This review is intended as factual information for other consumers considering the service.
