I arrived in Ghana (after saving for 2 years), and had the joy of working with Travel Bliss to plan my trip. When I was at my hotel and my local guide said, “ you cannot stay here,” Tanya handled getting me to a new space that is 100% better. She helped get everything booked, but there was no personalized follow up. We didn’t get the dinner reservation we wanted at Xcaret. She didn’t reach out the day or week we were heading out to see if all was ready and well. She didn’t ask how the trip was going. I assumed it I went through a travel agent there’d be a little personalized attention. I’d be curious if this is how using an agent is or if normally you get a little more assistance.

I'm glad I was able to assist with planning and booking your Xcaret vacation, though I'm sorry to hear your experience didn't fully meet your expectations. Regarding the restaurant reservation, Hotel Xcaret controls all dining availability, and unfortunately neither I nor the hotel can guarantee a specific restaurant once reservations have reached capacity. I always submit requests and do everything I can to secure my clients' preferences, but availability ultimately rests with the resort. I also appreciate your comments about communication. Throughout my years as a travel advisor, I've found that most clients prefer to enjoy their vacation uninterrupted, knowing I'm only a phone call, text, or email away if they need assistance. For that reason, I generally take a more hands-off approach while my clients are traveling rather than checking in and potentially disturbing their time away. That said, I completely understand that some travelers appreciate more proactive communication, and your feedback is a helpful reminder that preferences can vary. Thank you again for trusting Travel Bliss with your vacation. I genuinely appreciate your business and hope you made wonderful memories despite the disappointment with the restaurant reservation.
