Overall, I think Trova Trip is a great company to bring people together for fun group trips. The only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because I had some communication issues with Trova Trip while asking for details about my transfers, etc., and my host had to get involved because we weren’t seeming to receive many definitive answers. I changed my travel plans to make it work for me, but still haven’t heard back from Trova Trip regarding the miscommunication. Other than that isolated incident, I found that Trova Trip was generally quick to respond and answer my questions appropriately. UPDATE: Trova got back to me and was able to issue me a refund for one of my expenses. Happy with the follow up and will continue to use Trova Trip for future trips!

I just booked my second trip with TrovaTrip and I have to say, it is relatively seamless. I had a technical problem signing onto the platform (with my first TrovaTrip) that took weeks to resolve, but the CSR worked with me to fix it. They communicated throughout the whole process. They were responsive, timely, and diligent until the problem was resolved.

I thought our trip was planned very well and I loved our local guide. I didn't feel like I was missing out on anything!

Let me start by saying i rarely ever write reviews but this one is necessary. Trova set up a mostly great experience. However, expect that Trova may organize activities that may cost you additional money without telling you about it before hand. For example, organizing a trip to the tree house but it costing addition money to actually experience the tree house once you get there. They also may charge you around $80 usd for a massage but when you arrive in country it actually cost $10 for you to join in with your fellow Trova travelers that way overpaid. The good; The people of Bali are wonderful, the staff of namaste bungalows was exceptional. Our guide deserves huge recognition as well. Surya was beyond phenomenal and I will personally seek him out on any future trips to Bali.

I enjoyed someone else taking the reins and my tickets being already bought and having local guides. It was also nice having a guide who was very personable and made an attempt to connect to each traveler on the trip.

To start off I would like to say I have been on 4 trova trips and 3 of them have been close to perfection. The dynamic better the local guides and your host really makes this trips amazing. Having an advocate for the group to iron everything out sets trova apart from other group travel. I love the variety of itineraries and that everything is taken care of for me from hotels, transportation, majority of meals, activities and especially the sense of community in group travel. I will say the importance of having a great host (in addition to a great local guide) can really make a difference on your experience. As mentioned one of my previous trips was less than stellar and that’s from having a host that didn’t do there due diligence and advocate for us when things went astray. Overall I would still highly recommend booking through trova trip as I have had amazing experiences and made lifelong friends in Mexico, Costa Rica, Fiji, and Japan.
