We're three-sided travel marketplace and platform, connecting: * Travelers who want curated group trips * Hosts who bring a community together * And professional Operators who run the trip on the ground There’s no recruiting, no downlines, and no pyramid-style structure, meaning Hosts aren’t earning money from other Hosts. They earn income because they’re doing real work: marketing the trip, curating the experience, and leading the group before and during travel. We also strive to be very transparent that Hosts can earn income from their trips because building community and bringing people together is valuable work and deserves compensation. Hi there, and thank you for your transparency. We've passed your feedback surrounding accommodations back to our Trip Design team and Operating Partner. Accommodation packages vary for each trip and are determined by the Host in the trip planning stage, so not all trips use Premium accommodations. We'd also love to add some clarity surrounding the cost of a trip as there are quite a few factors at play. Hi Missy. We are sorry that you felt disregarded in our response — please know that our team means it when we say that the safety of our community is of top priority. This is why we've been in constant contact with our Trip Operators since the conflict escalated last Fall, keeping a close eye on the news, and hoping for the safety of all people in the area. We also know that it can be very frightening to see the news out of a region you are preparing to visit. While we currently don’t operate trips in impacted territories, as you mentioned, we do have a number of trips to surrounding areas like Jordan and Egypt. In the last few months we've run more than 15 trips to Egypt without incident (and have some testimonials from recent Travelers that we are happy to share with you). We have been working with our local Trip Operators to consistently review and assess if issues near the border could impact Egypt or impose on the safety of our Travelers in any way, and so far it has not been an issue. If it becomes a risk, we will be working with Hosts to adjust their trips accordingly. We understand your question of integrity, and believe that adhering to our cancellation policy allows us to be the best partner to the local Trip Operators who are doing the work to plan and prepare these incredible trips. We work to be flexible whenever we can, and had hoped that you and your mom might enjoy an alternative getaway when Egypt no longer felt like a fit. We would still like to deliver an incredible experience for you both on another TrovaTrip if you change your minds. Thank you for sharing your feedback, we wish you all the best.

Hi Sophie, we wanted to thank you first and foremost for sharing your honest feedback here. We know that in travel (like in life) things don't always go according to plan, and we at Trova want to own where we miss the mark, and commit to improve where we can. As you know from conversations prior to the trip, the large number of Travelers who requested a "single supplement" (the request to pay more for a solo room instead of sharing a room with a fellow Traveler) was higher than the average group trip. This meant that to ensure that everyone who wanted their own room had their own space, our Trip Operators had to split the group into 2 hotels (something we try to avoid for the reasons you've noted). We apologize for the frustration this caused you and your Travelers. We also know that a Guide is critical to the experience, and immediately followed up based on your feedback to ensure our Trip Operators are aware, and to help us secure the best possible Guides for our trips.
