We had a wonderful experience. The accommodations were comfortable, safe & had every amenity we asked for. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable, patient and flexible according to our needs and desires. The food was plentiful, varied and very good. The birds we saw were extraordinary! Thank you so much for a fantastic trip, we would definitely use Tropical Birding again. Love Fito Downs and our driver, Mauricio.

This tour was fantastic. Lots of locations, lots of great photo opportunities. Our guide Fito our driver Wilson were both professional and friendly, and really took great care of us.

Our experience with Tropical Birding on a custom tour in Madagascar was outstanding. Our guide, Ken Behrens, was excellent. His knowledge of the wildlife of Madagascar was impressive. This included identification of birds, lemurs, chameleons and more. Ken has outstanding leadership, communications and organizational skills. His team of in country assistant guides and personnel at our lodges made this a trip of a lifetime for us.

Guides ability was outstanding. Transportation connections were excellent. Driver Omar’s abilities were very good in addition to being a good birder. I suggest he be supplied with good binoculars. He found many birds for the group. The food on the trip was very good and the majority of the lodging excellent.

After two tours I think that Tropical's guides are exceptional in time spent looking for birds and success in finding a variety of birds including rare and unusual species, when I compare this experience to other tours I;ve taken and to other people's descriptions of their travels. Tropical's tours reliably include comfortable accommodations and good food. I'm signed up for two more Tropical tours. If only I had more time, I would sign up for even more.

Sam did an exception job in making sure all participants saw the species of interest. This is especially true given the disparity in birding experience in the group. One participant had apparently never been on an bird tour of any type. This tour is not the best first birding tour. The disparity of experience produced a great challenge for Sam in leading keen birders on a challenging birding tour and dealing with the issues that arose from an inexperience birder on a trip outside their experience.
