My fiance and I went to the emergency…
My fiance and I went to the emergency room because she was having chest pains, dizziness, nausea, vertigo, and several other symptoms of heart issues. She was brought back for testing, and then began getting a severe migraine. We explained that up until this month she would only get migraines maybe once every two weeks at most, but it has gotten much worse and she is getting them 4-5 times every week. They gave her migraine meds, said that everything looked good, and discharged her. The NEXT DAY, she was told by her PCP to go back to the emergency room due to some alarming test results from the previous visit. She also had a brain scan ordered to see if the symptoms might have been neurological. We both left work to get her to the ER where she waited for nearly four hours to be seen. The nurse that brought us to the room was rude and was speed walking away without bothering to check if we were with him. When we were finally seen, the doctor essentially told us that "migraines happen some times" and dismissed us. She never got the scan that was ordered by her doctor, and upon reviewing her charts after the visit they did not include the family history of heart disease or the sudden uptick in migraines. Absolutely abhorrent bedside manner from the staff and disgusting mistreatment of symptoms and patient concern.
