A frustrating experience as an international patient
I was able to book a free consultation from Japan, and I could not find any clear information beforehand indicating that patients based outside the US were ineligible for treatment. My consultation was subsequently cancelled because I am based in Japan. I was then specifically directed by Treble Health to contact their team for information about what support or other options they could offer international patients. I contacted the email address provided and followed up several times, but received no response over the following two weeks. I find this particularly disappointing given that I was explicitly directed to contact them for this information. Meanwhile, even after my consultation was cancelled because of where I live, I have continued to receive frequent promotional emails from Treble Health encouraging me to book free consultations. Overall, this has been a frustrating and unnecessary waste of my time and energy. The experience also left me feeling that little consideration is given to international patients who may already have had to overcome significant barriers and summon the courage to reach out across borders in search of help. It leaves me questioning whether there is simply little interest in assisting someone once it becomes clear that they cannot become a paying patient.
