I wholeheartedly recommend that other travelers use Maria and her Travelries services! You will not regret it! I am a frequent solo traveler; at this point I have visited 20+ countries. I typically plan my own itineraries and do all the accompanying research. However, planning a 4 month trip to SE Asia while currently working full time was too much for me. Maria did all the heavy lifting for me. She took my country goals and travel preferences and produced an incredibly thorough 4 month itinerary. Along the way, Maria shared her initial draft and I was able to give her feedback and suggestions for changes. She was efficient and professional in her email communication. The finalized itinerary felt very personal to me and my wishes. It included transit logistics, lodging options, vital country information, and area-specific activities. The itinerary is also displayed in a very aesthetically pleasing format. I am so thankful for Maria's help in planning this SE Asian portion of my adult gap year. I feel that her fees are very reasonable for the amount of work she puts into her services. Thanks to Maria, I feel more prepared and excited to take this leap and follow through with my adult gap year plans!

I found Maria through a Business Insider article. I was planning a career break so I was very excited to see someone who could help! Building off her own gap year she was able to help me plan six weeks across Vietnam, Taiwan and Hong Kong - tour recommendations, accommodations, a detailed schedule, even told me which flights to book and how to save money. I worked with Maria from Travelries to plan a year long trip and, honestly, I don’t think I would have managed the trip without her. First of all, she managed to help me book nearly all of my flights (and many hotels) using credit card points hacks which I had never heard of. When I couldn’t use points, she helped me negotiate rates on Airbnbs or find affordable options elsewhere. An awesome side effect of this is it unlocked a larger budget to spend on experiences - tours, cooking classes, language classes, and more. In the end, my final spend for the trip came within 1% of my budget for the year. The plan she created was unique to me and helped hit all of my bucket list spots - across Europe, Africa, Southeast Asia, and South America. She helped me get the timing right too - allowing me to see part of the Great Migration in Kenya as well as avoid the monsoon season in Vietnam. Finally - she helped me watch out for common scams to watch out for as a tourist around the world. I learned the safest and easiest ways to get around different parts of the world, how to avoid exchange rate scams on ATMs and card readers, and where to go if I need help (which fortunately never happened due to her expert guidance!). If you’re planning on taking a long term trip, there’s really no other comprehensive source like this to help you out. It’s a no-brainer, and will save you money and stress in the long run.
