She literally wrote the book (Moving Abroad for Dummies)! But so much more than that, Kristin has provided valuable resources, has always responded quickly, and has shown genuine interest, concern, and care about our move to France way back in 2024. Her knowledge and experience made her the perfect coach for us as we jumped into this crazy, monumental, life-changing adventure. Perhaps the thing we're most grateful for is the connections we've found: Regular calls, message boards, and check ins--hearing from and being inspired by the others in the Traveling with Kristin world. We couldn't have done it without her.

After following Kristin's YouTube videos for a while during my exploration phase of moving overseas, I was struck how thoughtful and common-sense-based her opinions were. I eventually signed up with Traveling With Kristin, and I'm incredibly glad I did! I got *way* more than I expected in the process. Kristin and her team have a full-fledged course on the ins and outs of the process of moving overseas, and it's not based so much on making sure you move as it is making sure you're happy with your decision. The course covers everything from helping choose the right location that fits your personality and lifestyle, navigating the labyrinthine process of securing a visa, finding a place to live in your new destination, and much, much more! Within the TwK website, there's an amazing community of people either considering moving, in the process of moving, or having moved, and you can pick everyone's brains on every stage of the process. A year later (or so) and I'm living in Spain, confident that my choices were founded in solid logic and aided by Kristin, Shea, and the rest of the team. This should be mandatory for everyone considering a move out of the US (and who isn't?), to ensure you're making good decisions, choosing the right places, and have support throughout the process. Kristin visited us last month to talk about how the process went, what surprised us, and what went well (or badly!). This is an amazing company with boutique, personalized service, and I'm thrilled to have included them as part of my journey.

I found Kristin on YouTube back in January 2024 and booked an intro call with her on a whim. I told her I had been wanting to move abroad for over a decade since I studied abroad in college. Kristin talked to me for at least an hour, I felt heard and she told me the story of how she got started in relocating people. Kristin made me feel like my dream of moving abroad was possible after thinking it was impossible for years! I asked her how soon I could move abroad and she said “It’s dependent on your timeline but I’ve had clients move in as little as 6 months to a year or 2 years based on everything they need to prepare for the move.” I moved in October 2024!!! A little over 6 months. Kristin’s program sped up my timeline to move abroad, she has everything laid out on figuring out your ideal location of where you want to live, visa requirements, what you need, what to prepare for, how to do it, and importantly, what you need WHEN you live abroad from setting up bank accounts in your new home country, phone plans, etc. This is all info that I didn’t even think of. I was stuck on where exactly I’d move and I didn’t even know what visa to pick or if I’d even qualify. Because of Kristin’s extensive background in relocation and her traveling and testing out each place on her own, she knows ALL of the ins and outs and all of the info is resourced in her program. I was able to move a little after 6 months thanks to all her helpful information. Albeit, I think 6 months is fast to move from getting your visa appointments set up, getting the correct documents AND on top of all that, selling your home, preparing your family for the move etc. But Kristin’s program provided an actual framework on what to focus on at each stage of the process because moving abroad is an overwhelming process to being with. If you’re looking for a person who knows her stuff, actively researches different countries and visa requirements, has a guideline on how to get started moving abroad and guidelines after moving,has local contacts and resources in different countries, and has real life clients living abroad that she seeks updates from and updates her repository of info, she is literally your one stop shop to help you move abroad. If you’re reading this and you’re waiting for a sign to move abroad, this is it! I wouldn’t have been able to move abroad to Spain without Kristin’s help!

I was very concerned trusting someone I found on YouTube with relocating my entire life. I'M SO GLAD I TOOK THE LEAP! It has been about a year of working with Kristin and I honestly don't know how anyone can relocate without her. There wasn't a question I had that they couldn't answer, especially regarding my fur babies, which was my biggest concern. Within 1 e-mail I had everything I needed to ensure my babies would be cared for. Somehow, working with Kristin and Shea was not only supportive but THERAPEUTIC. I also struggle with some health issues and disabilities and they helped me to make this move truly possible! I felt like I had a travel family here, and everyone was in my corner every step of the way. Between Kristins decades of personal experience and welcoming feedback and suggestions from clients, I feel like this is THE relocation service that has thought of everything. I cannot believe such a wonderful company could exist in ANY industry. The entire team at traveling with Kristin was kind, patient, quick to respond, and did the impossible of making relocation planning EASY. I am so so grateful. If you aren't sure how to begin, or even where to go, I would HIGHLY recommend starting with travel with Kristin relocation.

Moving abroad and leaving one's home country behind is, quite frankly, a very big deal; perhaps one of the most challenging things you'll face in your life. As a retiree, and alone, I realized that this undertaking was more than I could handle without knowledgeable help. After researching various relocation companies and watching a host of YouTube videos, I settled on Traveling with Kristin as the partner I wanted to help me with this daunting venture. Kristin and her associates have been a constant source of information and encouragement, and quickly earned my complete trust. How important is that! The in-depth modules Kristin has developed from years of experience, both living and traveling abroad and guiding others through the process, are comprehensive and almost overwhelming in their depth of coverage, including many of Kristin's deep-dive video presentations. But it has been the ongoing assistance of her associate through one-on-one Zoom meetings, as well as her regularly scheduled Zoom meetings for anyone in the Traveling with Kristin "family" to participate in, that have helped reduce the stress and trepidation that is always trying to creep in, while at the same time connecting with others. As a "single" retiree moving to a new country, this very real human connection has been important and meaningful for me, knowing I am being looked out for. Even now, where I am 2 months in to actually having made the move abroad, their help is still important in how to live a new life in a new country, since this brings on its own unique issues, from visas to housing to language learning to culture shock to living as a local, and much more. My moving-abroad venture with Traveling with Kristin has been wonderful and edifying, but also safe, which I've realized in retrospect has been a vital part of the experience. It is important to recognize that whatever any of us are going through and feeling in this deeply challenging process of expatriating, is and has been the same for countless others. We are not alone. You are not alone.

Although we scheduled just 45 minutes, she generously spent two hours with us, asking thoughtful questions and truly listening. Kristin and her team were very responsive. I had spent many months searching for answers about our planned move. I found lots of conflicting opinions and misinformation while doing my research. I had been watching Kristin's Youtube videos for maybe a year as well as other people's videos. Finally, I decide it might be more economical to contact Kristin rather than keep doing the same thing over again. Our meeting with Kristin clarified most of our concerns and answered the questions we had trouble finding answers to. I now know how I plan to manage our health care following our move. I also know the best way to keep my U.S. phone number active and useable while saving a significant amount of money. We didn't need the full service Kristin provides but I would certainly trust her and her team. I have a lot of confidence in Kristin after spending time with her on Zoom and interacting with members of her team. Overall, I feel that her service for us has proven an excellent payback.
