To be honest, use another company. I was confirmed the day before the move. The next day (moving day, 10:00am), the moving company did not call or arrive at my house! When I called, I was told the crew was in another state and were unable to move me that day. This was unacceptable since the closing and buyer walk through was scheduled at 9:00am the following day. After many uncomfortable calls, another crew was assigned and arrived late, at 6:00pm. Upon arrival, the truck was half full! That being said, they needed to make 3 trips total. The last trip was scheduled for the next day at 7:00am. Closing was scheduled at 9:00am. Two of the three crew members showed up at 8:45am! Unacceptable, again. We needed to navigate through realtors, lawyers and buyer to push the walkthrough and settlement time. Luckily this could be arranged at the last minute, but this was an exception, In the meantime, I made many trips with my car packed and moved the smaller items myself. The crew made the last and final trip by noon on the day of settlement! Also, before the last trip was made, I made sure to relay all of the items that needed to be moved, inside and outside of the home. In short, there was about 5k worth of items that remained at the original home and I never received! Also, as I unpacked items in the new home, many items were damaged or broken. In addition, on the second day, 3rd trip, I received a Venmo requesting additional payment since an additional day was needed. Unacceptable, again! (BTW it was 95 degrees) I have moved many times, and this is the worst experience I have had with any move. You have been warned.

If you're considering Adams Moving or Transit Moving (because I'm convinced it's the same company), just save yourself thousands of dollars and skip to replacing everything. Adams/Transit took advantage of this being our first move in every possible way and kept trying to charge extra for fees covered in their fine print in spite of them being unnecessary and against the contract we signed. No amount of "savings" they promise will be worth it in the end because the only thing they're experts in is lying. The items that arrived were damaged, destroyed, and/or filthy. It didn't matter if we wrapped, bagged, or boxed it or if the movers did the packing or wrapping, it was damaged in some way, from furniture to art. A shelf had a bolt embedded in the side of it and chunks missing from the top, bottom, and sides. A tandem desk/bookshelf combo had irreparably broken feet and damaged the wall in the new place when the delivery guys tried to reassemble it. A shoe rack arrived annihilated into pieces and was left in the loading area by the delivery guys. Some items didn't arrive at all, like a floor lamp that we were told to keep the glass globe for by the guys loading the truck. So now we have a globe and no lamp. The worst part was that the contents of the boxes we packed were changed and items were taken out of them. It was done in a way that couldn't have possibly been an accident. Somewhere between pickup and delivery, someone had access to our stuff and took the time to go through, as an example, a plastic storage tote with a toolbox inside and took the more valuable and rare tools out of it. The same thing happened with boxed tools. An entire bag of tools was taken out and the box was re-taped with an entirely different kind of tape. They took chargers for a drill but left the drill so now it's unusable until we replace the cord. When we mentioned this to customer service, they assured us the warehouse had cameras, like that changed the fact that our items were removed from sealed boxes and totes and stolen. We haven't been able to talk to anyone at the company after getting the runaround about it. They left me on hold for over an hour to "connect me to a manager" before the call disconnected and they just sent me to voicemail on my attempts to call back. They've completey ghosted us after promising to investigate and more false promises about the possibility of our remaining items being found and delivered. I'm also convinced the positive reviews are bought. My experience defies their claim about not being a broker, too, with nothing but third parties and being passed off from company to company. Don't fall for the "stress-free" experience they advertise. It's been a nightmare. The things listed here are just a fraction of the issues. Find a reputable moving company because this isn't it.

These jerks refuse to leave me alone. I dont even know how they got my number. I've already moved and they just keep texting and calling to try to sell me their services. It is very annoying.

Use Anyone Else, hustlers and scammers. You have been warned!!! Ended up charging us an additional $4,000 on top of estimate and our items showed up 17 days late. They don't even have movers, this is a broker that will pick the cheapest option available to move your items and will not communicate through the whole process.

Transit Moving Systems got our items from point A to point B, but otherwise the entire process was disappointing - 1. We paid much more than the original estimate: the company gives you an original estimate based on an inventory of furniture. We removed several large items of furniture from the move but still ended up paying more because the company charges you on cubic feet of volume, which they keep intentionally low in the estimate 2. Items left behind and no walkthrough: The moving crew arrived late, finished late, and was in such a rush by the end that they left a car’s worth of items behind that we then had to manage 3. Terrible communication and customer service: We interacted with four distinct individuals throughout the move. It was never clear who was in charge and who would take ownership. Their team did not communicate internally, so we would share information with one when they called, which would then be news to another a week later. And despite persistent complaints, they never made an effort to resolve issues they created. Instead, most conversations resulted in them threatening increased fees because of the nebulous contract they forced us to sign 4. Items arrived almost a week later: There is no effort whatsoever to meet your intended delivery date. Our items arrived almost a week late, and only after persistent nudging on our part and communicating directly with the driver (who is a contractor). This makes planning very difficult. We secured a parking permit for the moving truck from the city for the specific delivery date we intended (at the instruction of Transit Moving), only to then be told by Transit Moving they would not meet that date, so we lost $300+. 5. Hidden shuttling fees: They present a ‘shuttling fee’ of $1/cubic foot as a potential in the estimate, but really they are counting on it. Despite not advertising this, they perform cross country moves in a semi truck regardless of how many things you have, so they always plan to charge you the shuttling fee. 6. Broken items: Several items arrived broken, scuffed, or otherwise damaged. To top it off, now one of their employees has reached out personally asking for money to bail him out of a personal crisis. I strongly advise finding a different moving company!!

Do not use this company. I left a great review in February or March of this year, 2025, however after the fact I have found some of my furniture damaged, however that is not the worst part. Several months later an employee used one of the phones to contact me and requested money from me. I actually helped him because he was down on his luck, it happened a second time and I am embarrassed to say a third time with the promise that he had a bonus that week and would reimburse me everything. Well, as you can assume, I was taken for a ride. Please don’t get scammed like I did!!!! I am soft hearted but it breaks my heart to think of people like my mother and others that could be scammed by a company or an employee that works for this company. Don’t fall for this like I did!!!!

Avoid Transit Moving Systems at all costs. This was such a poor moving experience. Believe the 1 star reviews. Final Update (bc I am done with them): Received another text offering a new refund amount. Then received a call from Mike trying to gaslight me with his version of events. Then he asked if I could take down the reviews or revise them. Said I’d get the refund either way. My response was that I would consider it. And guess what, still no refund. Update: On Wednesday, July 2 I requested info for the claim department. Never received it. Heard back from the salesperson, Mike Miranda, on Thursday, July 3 and he claimed he went to the general manager to get a partial refund approved and agreed to issue a partial refund. It is now Tuesday, July 8 and still getting the run around about the refund - best rate, holiday weekend, needs approval, etc. Now the narrative is that the messages weren’t meant for me and I will be hearing from from the business department within 24-48 hours. It’s interesting they want certified funds on sight but getting my money back is a whole process. Original Review: From the beginning, they were dishonest. They claim not to be brokers, yet the move was clearly handled by a rotating cast of random third-party contractors. Every stage—pickup, transport, and delivery—involved different, uncoordinated people who clearly weren't part of the same company. Communication between them was nonexistent, which led to confusion, delays, and a complete lack of accountability. They promised a three day delivery but ended up taking over a week - without any meaningful updates or apologies. I took time off work and rearranged my schedule based on their timeline, only to be left waiting, guessing, and sleeping on the floor. Then came the upcharges and hidden fees. What started as a reasonably quoted move turned into hundreds more than expected. They tacked on charges for stairs, elevator use, extra materials, and even something they called a long haul fee that was never disclosed up front. I had a handful of stuff but they show up in a semi and then try to charge me for having to park on the sidewalk. Girl. The price kept increasing, and by the time I got my things back, I felt completely taken advantage of. To make matters worse, several items arrived damaged—some clearly mishandled, others poorly packed or stacked. Of course, no one took responsibility. Customer service is not their main priority. They don’t want your feedback but want you to accept their excuses. They hung up on me, btw. This company relies on deceptive practices, subcontracting, and surprise charges to make a profit. If you value your time, money, and belongings, do yourself a favor and stay far away from Transit Moving Systems.

Beware!! I wish I could leave no stars. Let me emphasize the good reviews you are seeing are from people they have a discount to and accounts I believe they set up themselves. These people are thieves!! Lost 6 boxes of valuables that just disappeared and they have no idea where they went. How do you load items to a truck and buy the time they get to the destination 6 boxes are missing and only the valuables. One of the boxes were not mine and were filled with rocks! No accountability the insurance they offer is also a scam. The “good” reviews are only because they offer a discount in exchange for it. The price they charge upfront will change multiple times and in the end you owe thousands more. I’m sick to my stomach with this situation. They need to be shut down and all their employees arrested. The incompetence, the scamming, the disrespect. I’m truly disgusted. Please please please do yourself a favor and choose any other moving company than this one!!!
