CLASSIC SCAM PLAYBOOK: CHARM YOU IN, TAKE YOUR MONEY, VANISH, DELIVER GARBAGE
0/5 Stars if I Could Give Zero, I Would Give Negative Ten. When we first reached out to Tradewheel, you would have thought we were their most important clients in the history of the company. Two to three sales representatives were practically falling over themselves to get on calls with us. The pitch was slick. The promises were enormous. They painted a picture of a fully managed lead generation machine, positioned like the Alibaba of B2B lead services for the apparel industry, that would connect us with genuine, qualified buyers and business partners from across the globe. They had an answer for every question. Polished presentations. Follow-up emails within the hour. It felt professional. It felt legitimate. It was neither. The moment that payment cleared, the moment the money left our hands and landed in what we now believe was some individual's personal bank account, it was like a switch flipped. The smiling, eager, responsive sales team? Gone. Vanished. Evaporated into thin air like they never existed. Calls unanswered. Emails replied to days later, if at all. The enthusiasm that had been so suffocating before the transaction suddenly became complete and total radio silence. After weeks and then months of chasing, following up, escalating, and practically begging for any sign of life from this company, they finally, finally, began delivering what they called "leads." We are being generous when we call them that. What we received was not a list of qualified apparel industry contacts. What we received was a random assortment of names and emails scraped from parts of the world where, frankly, the apparel import/export business is virtually non-existent. We are talking about contacts from regions where international B2B textile trade is so uncommon that even a five-second Google search would tell you these were never real business prospects. These were not leads. These were digital litter. These were names pulled from somewhere, we have no idea where, and dumped into a spreadsheet to make it look like work had been done. This was not lead generation. This was performance theater designed to make us feel like we received a service while they kept our $800 and laughed. Now let's talk about the ISMs — their so-called Sales Managers, or whatever title they give to the rotating cast of utterly unqualified people they assign to manage your account. In the span of six months, SIX MONTHS, they cycled through two to three different ISMs on our account. Not because they were being promoted. Not because of normal business transitions. But because these people either left the company, were removed, or simply stopped showing up to deal with us. Every time a new ISM was assigned, we had to start from zero. Re-explain our business. Re-explain our target market. Re-explain what a qualified lead even looks like for an apparel company. And here is the part that truly made our blood boil: we had to teach them. Us. The paying clients. We had to sit there on calls and explain to their own account managers what constitutes a useful business lead in the apparel industry. These were people who were supposed to be industry specialists. People who were supposed to have expertise in B2B lead generation for fashion and textile businesses. And we found ourselves drawing diagrams, spelling out basics, explaining concepts that any entry-level sales professional should already know.THIS IS NOT A LEGITIMATE BUSINESS. THIS IS A SCAM. Let us be absolutely direct: the behavior of Tradwheel from start to finish follows the textbook pattern of a fraudulent operation. A legitimate B2B platform collects payments through verifiable corporate banking channels, not personal accounts. A legitimate company does not disappear the moment payment is received. A legitimate service does not deliver leads so laughably irrelevant that they appear to have been randomly generated. A legitimate organization does not churn through account managers every two months while clients sit in confusion and frustration. Every single red flag was there. We missed them in our excitement. Do not make the same mistake. The worst part? Even after all of that hand-holding, even after all of that patience, the leads did not improve. They got worse. It was as if the more we explained, the more creatively terrible the outputs became. Tradewheel took our money, wasted our time, insulted our intelligence, and delivered absolutely nothing of value. They are not a platform. They are not a service provider. Based on everything we experienced, they operate like a scam, and they should be treated and exposed as one. ZERO STARS. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
