Misleading, extremely high pressure and, borderline harassment
BEWARE. Also, do not confuse this company with Trademark Planet in the UK. This company is Trademark Planets, which is a different business entirely. I paid this company over $1,000 to trademark my logo. Initially, I was told everything was progressing smoothly, that my application had been submitted, and that there were no issues. I was genuinely excited and believed the process was moving forward as expected. Later, I received a call from an “account manager” informing me that I would need to pay an additional $3,000+ in order to continue the application and review process. Due to the current economy and challenges facing my business, I explained that I simply could not afford that additional expense. At that point, the conversation became extremely uncomfortable. I was repeatedly told that if I did not continue, the money I had already spent would be wasted, the application would essentially be abandoned, and it could become more difficult to trademark my logo later. The way this was communicated felt very high-pressure and left me deeply uneasy. After I declined to move forward, I continued receiving multiple texts from the representative criticizing me for “wasting” my money by starting the process. I repeatedly asked them to stop contacting me. Even after escalating the issue to higher management, the messages continued. The final straw came when I was told that if I wanted to cancel the process, it would cost me an additional $1,500, along with more comments suggesting things would become “more difficult” if I ever wanted to revisit the trademark process in the future. Overall, this experience felt highly unprofessional and extremely pressure-driven. I strongly encourage anyone considering this company to do extensive research beforehand and fully understand all potential costs before signing up.
