Same issue as other people here have mentioned. Asked to switch to T-Mobile. SIM card on the way but never arrived. Can’t get a live person by phone. Chat can only promise someone will contact me soon. I opened several trouble tickets and since 2/23/2024 I’ve got no response. Then they cut off my internet but still charged me a monthly fee. The bulk of it I pre-paid so kiss that goodbye.

I've had this service for about 8 months with no problems really. The cost was $100 a month for unlimited internet. Not many options in my wooded area. Anyways, three weeks ago they emailed me saying that AT&T will no longer let them use their towers, so they gave me a couple options. One was to terminate service and I would get payed back. Another option, which I chose, was to keep the service and they would send me a new sim card for tmobile service. They never sent the sim and charged me $100 a few days ago. The service completely shut off the day after the charge. I disputed it with my bank, got my money back and moved on. Don't use!

Town Broadband uses cell towers to provide customers with discounted internet service. AT&T one of their cell providers changed their policy on 23 Feb and no longer sells them unlimited plans. All of this is unfortunate for us as customers but understand. Town Broadband informed me of this through an email and gave 3 option. Option 1 switch to Tmobile which does not work in my area if it did I would of called TMobile for service. Option 2 pay a lot more for not unlimited AT&T service. or Option 3 cancel, I choose option 3 as I want to continue to have unlimited coverage. It has been 3 weeks and they have not returned any calls for get me a refund as I paid the yearly rate. Everything is through a ticket that never gets answered because the person answering the tickets can only forward the tickets.

Useful their services for over 2 years. I went to cancel and couldn't get it cancel. They kept telling me start a ticket. Done that and still nothing. My service stopped working so thats why I tried canceling. For 6 months they did nothing except take my money. Finally I canceled my dept card. That stopped them from taking my money. So if you ever try to cancel them ,LOOKOUT.

I am sorry to hear this, we have a very straightforward cancellation process, all you need to do is open a cancellation ticket from your account, this is noted in our terms and conditions and I am sure our agents explained it to you, from your comment it seems like you didn't do this, I am sorry to hear this, I will forward your concern to our management department to find other alternatives for customers who are in your situation.

I ordered a device and the unlimited plan from them received the device but not working okay told them about it they sent me some code that could not be printed off so basically made it impossible for me to send it back to get a new one and then after I asked them to cancel my account they continue to charge me for 2 months I'm really questioning if I should file charges cuz I requested them to cancel my accounts but they refused saying that they would add an extension an extension is not a cancellation

I am sorry to know you had issues with your service, upon checking your account I could see that they have already been resolved, as per your comment here, I checked your case history and noticed that our CS associates were very prompt to address this issue and gave you a resolution. I am happy to know this situation is now fixed, however, we would really appreciate it if you revise this review as this comment is not longer applicable.

Absolutely worst customer service experience i’ve ever had. They advertise 5G speed, but either do not support all of ATTs same 5G network or they cannot understand my issue. I live in the city of Denver which is covered in 5G on att’s network but when using my town broadband service only get LTE coverage. what a scam. literally hours and hundreds of dollars wastes on this service which isn’t as advertised. if you’re expecting 5G coverage on their network, look elsewhere for your service. Edit to my review in repose to theirs below: this is exactly the run around they’ve been giving me. when i use my att sim card in the SAME device in the SAME location, i connect to att’s 5G network. i’m in a major city that is COMPLETELY COVERED IN 5G. This has truly been infuriating to deal with. Edit 2: since they don’t know when to stop, i’m going to make another response so that real consumers don’t end up with this terrible company if they’re looking for true 5G service on their hotspot. the website they continuously tell me to refer to for coverage is cellmapper.net. this website used crowd sourced information to represent their coverage. when you choose Att on this website there are two options. one called AT&T and another called AT&T mobility. why this website has this segregation in their filter, i don’t know, but if one chooses the At&t mobility option, it clearly shows that my address on file with town broadband has 5G coverage. when i use my AT&T sim card in my netgear nighthawk m6 pro device, i can see in the administrative menus that it connects to 5G bands and service. i then can put my town broadband SIM card in the device and the network type changes to 5Ge which is “enhanced LTE” on AT&Ts network. Checking in the same administrative menu, i can see that the bands being used fall back to LTE bands, even though my device FOR SURE supports these bands on AT&T’s network and this device FOR SURE connects to the appropriate 5G bands when my actual AT&T SIM is in the device. secondly, i implore all prospective customers to check on ATT’s website for how they report their coverage. ATT shows that Denver is COMPLETELY COVERED IN 5G. to quote them and their response below, “THIS IS A FACT” here’s another fact as well. the fact that these tech support agents are stating that there is no 5G tower near me is asinine. I can LITERALLY SEE THIS TOWER WITH MY EYES. i am in line of sight with the tower. so yeah, please don’t let their company take your money unless you’re willing to compromise with LTE coverage on ATTs network. i’ve never had the displeasure of having to adamantly explain to someone i’m giving my money to how their technology is supposed to work. and just FYI, i worked for AT&T for 3 years 2016-2019. i’m very familiar with their service and 5G roll out.

THIS IS NOT A RUN AROUND, YOU DON'T HAVE A 5G TOWER CLOSE BY, CHECK FOR YOURSELF ON CELLMAPPER.NET, THIS IS A FACT. I have checked your case and could see that we sent you an extended explanation regarding your concern, unfortunately your area doesn't have any 5G tower as per cellmapper.net. The technology logo you see next to the signal bars (3G, 4G or 5G) is sent by the carrier and they can customize it as they wish, when you see 5G on your screen doesn't mean you are really connected to a 5G network, with AT&T it just means you are connected to the next 4G LTE network generation, the only way to find out where 5G towers are available is by looking at the tower map in your proximity. At the moment 5G towers are still being deployed across the country. Our service works on the same AT&T network as any other device and offers access to the latest networks they have to offer in each location including 5G when available.
