Felt Betrayed and Misinformed
My experience with Total Repair was very disappointing. At first, everything sounded professional and trustworthy, but after the AC replacement I felt completely misled regarding my home warranty claim. I was told not to worry about approving the invoice beforehand and was reassured that the home warranty company would cover and reimburse approximately $1,600. Based on those statements, I agreed to move forward with the replacement. Later, the warranty company refused to pay, and I was left responsible for costs I was told would be covered. What concerns me the most is that I felt Total Repair was working more in the interest of the home warranty company than in protecting or advising me as the customer. Important details and risks were not clearly explained before the work was completed. I cannot recommend this company based on my experience. If you are dealing with a home warranty claim, make sure you personally get everything approved in writing before authorizing any work or signing anything.

Pouyan, I'm sorry your experience with your home warranty company didn't go the way you hoped. I want to acknowledge that you originally rated our work 5 stars after the installation was complete — we're proud of the system we installed for you, and that hasn't changed. What did change was your warranty company's reimbursement decision, which is a process that happens entirely between a homeowner and their warranty provider. We don't have authority over those decisions, and we never represent that we do. Thanks Hector Smith
