This is one of the better family owned and operated businesses I have worked with. Having moved over a dozen times in the past seven years, and having a background in logistics myself, I really appreciated their professionalism and efficiency. Similarly, their pricing is exceptionally cheaper than the name brand moving companies, given that their quality of work is as good if not better.

PLEASE READ IF YOU ARE MOVING ACROSS…
PLEASE READ IF YOU ARE MOVING ACROSS COUNTRY!
I paid approximately $5,000 to move a little over a one-bedroom apartment from Texas to California, and this was an absolute nightmare.
I originally booked through a broker (which is a whole other story), so I didn't even know what company would ultimately be handling my belongings. I was given a two-day pickup window, but they didn't confirm the actual pickup until the night before. I was quoted one price and ultimately charged about $1,500 more.
I was also surprised when the movers showed up with a trailer because I had never been told my belongings would be transported that way. I learned my belongings would be going to storage first while they figured out how to get them to CA. Texas → trailer → storage → moving van → California. Things are ultimately going to be destroyed and lost when moving them that many times.
They also refused to move my floor mirror because it wasn't wrapped and they wouldn't wrap it like the other furniture. I would have wrapped it myself if I had been told that was required, but I wasn't told until the very end, after everything had already been packed.
It took over three weeks for my belongings to arrive, even though the contract stated two weeks for that distance. Throughout the process, I had almost no communication about where my belongings were or when I would actually receive them.
When they finally arrived, I was required to pay cash before they would unload my belongings, which felt extremely sketchy.
Unfortunately, the condition of my belongings was just as bad. Boxes and bags were dirty, ripped and crushed. I had broken vases and frames, missing furniture, and my moving blankets were taken. The movers unloaded the boxes onto the dolly without any care for how they were stacked, how heavy they were, or whether they contained fragile items.
Another unbelievable surprise was finding soiled underwear and clothing that wasn't mine inside one of my boxes, along with other furniture items that belonged to someone else. Thankfully, I noticed the furniture and didn't accept it, but it makes you wonder how my belongings were being handled and where my missing items ended up.
The movers also spent an extended amount of time in our bathroom, which had to be sanitized afterward.
Then came the claims process. After dealing with all of this, I was directed to a difficult-to-use claims website and ultimately offered $28—less than I paid for the moving blankets that were taken.
For approximately $5,000, I expected professional movers, careful handling, transparent pricing and basic communication. Instead, I got unexpected charges, multiple transfers, a three-week wait, damaged and missing belongings, and almost no help coordinating the delivery.
If you're moving across the country, PLEASE do your research. Especially if you're booking through a broker, make sure you know exactly who will be handling your belongings, how they will be transported, and where they may be stored or transferred along the way.
I would absolutely not hire this company again.

Not for Long Distance
It took them 2 weeks to have our items delivered to us and many of our items were damaged once it finally arrived. We paid over $5000 for them to move us. We would have been better off renting a U-Haul and doing it ourselves. They might be ok for local moving, but for long distances I would try another company.

***SCAM ALERT*** STEALING FROM…
***SCAM ALERT*** STEALING FROM CUSTOMERS DO NOT HIRE!!!!!! I hired them to move items for me from Texas to Las Vegas. They charged me an extra 250 upon arrival at my apt claiming an extra money for the “long distance”, I was given a fixed price on the phone for 1800 yet when they came to get my stuff it was a completely different story. On top of that they told me i could pay them for extra tv boxes and a mattress cover but then told me the tv boxes would get an extra $50 each as well as the mattress cover an extra $30 which was absolutely ridiculous! when they arrived at my apartment 4 days later they came in a completely different truck with two men that were from New Mexico. They were EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. Dirty , Grubby , and were using a U-Haul truck compared to a a professional moving truck NOT wearing professional moving gear. They then called me earlier that day asking me to PAY BEFORE THEY GAVE MD MY ITEMS - RAISED SEVERAL RED FLAGS!! I kept telling the guy I wasn’t comfortable paying until i saw my time first at least!!!! This was really sketchy and I am a single female alone by myself with two strange guts coming to my house in the middle of the night! After I went out and was able to see my items on the truck I proceeded to go ahead and make the payment . They then proceeded to take my items off the truck and I could see the items were dirty , my dressers and bedroom furniture had marks on it as well as the boxes looked like they had been opened and ransacked, then brought the items in dumping them in the living room without asking me where the items were supposed to go or where I would like them. I had to move them myself to the different area they were labeled although that’s what I had PAID THEM FOR. Once the items were brought in I noticed several boxes were opened and were crushed and several fragile items were broken. These two guys were extremely unprofessional they did NOT EVEN HAVE THE PROPER TOOLS TO PUT TOGETHER MY FURNITURE!!! I had to let them borrow my tools and then direct on how the items were meant to be put together. The other guy in the bedroom was just standing there staring at my items clearly he had NO IDEA WHAT HE WAS DOING. I directed him to how the bed was supposed to be set up but while I was moving stuff and trying to organize my boxes these were things PROFESSIONAL MOVERS SHOULD HAVE ALREADY KNOW HOW TO DO! These people were extremely incompetent and then once the guy in the bedroom went to go help the other guy fix the couch they just all of a sudden LEFT WITHOUT FIXING THE BEDROOM FURNITURE !!! I had to run out and talk at them and tell them the furniture was not put together at all and the bed was sitting in the middle of the room while the dresser was still in pieces!!! They then came back again and I had to guide them to put the furniture together again ! Once the started working on the bedroom I figured it was ok for me to continue checking my items and unpacking. Then they shortly came out of the bedroom and left . Before they left I rushed into my bedroom to see AGAIN UNFINISHED FURNITURE!!! This was absolutely ridiculous!!! I then proceeded to run out and get them again ! The one guy came back in the third time and I helped him out the dresser / mirror together while his coworker came in during the end talking about their accommodations for the night ( worry about that after the job is done correctly!!!) extremely unprofessional. They then asked me if I would like them to move the bedroom furniture against the wall ( like hello - why would I want you to just leave it in the middle of the bedroom?!) these people were so unprofessional. Then once they left the next day I counted all my boxes and noticed their were only NINE WHEN THEIR WERE SUPPOSED BE 10! I also had several boxes labeled FRAGILE WHERE I HAD BROKEN VASES AND BROKEN CERAMIC ITEMS TK MY KITCHEN SET. I then started to feel EXTREMELY PANICKED- MY JEWELRY, WIGS ORGANIZERS INFLUENCER BOXES , HAIR IRONS , MAKEUP , EXPENSIVE PERFUMES ALL STOLEN !!!! Then try to offer $66!!! SCAMMERS!!!! DONT HIRE THEM!!!!!

Fell Very Short of Top Notch
We hired Top Notch Moving for a full-service cross-country move based on their promise that they were not a brokerage and would personally handle our move from start to finish. This was a key reason we chose them. However, when our belongings arrived, the delivery was contracted out to third-party labor—a direct contradiction of what was promised.
The driver arrived alone and unprepared to unload an entire household of furniture. Additional help was brought in later, but they were not Top Notch employees, were unfamiliar with the job, and one even admitted to being intoxicated. He became aggressive when denied access to a pet-occupied bathroom, creating an unprofessional and uncomfortable situation.
The move also caused significant damage to our furniture, including:
Bed frame missing legs
Bookshelf with a hole and large dent
TV console missing shelf pegs
Work desk with a broken lift mechanism
Art desk damaged beyond repair
Hardware bags opened, many essential parts missing
Despite our contract stating items would be disassembled and reassembled, the delivery crew had no knowledge of this and no plan to follow through. We reassembled most of it ourselves.
We contacted Top Notch with our concerns and spoke the next day. After that call, the owner failed to follow up as promised. It took multiple texts to get a brief reply, showing no urgency or willingness to resolve the situation. Since then, we’ve been ghosted. No resolution has been offered.
If you’re considering this company, pay only with a credit card or another method that allows for disputes. Do not pay in cash—you may be left with no recourse if things go wrong.
This was a costly, disappointing experience that we hope others can avoid.

First let me say we are not a brokerage as you stated above we are a family owned moving company . Secondly Im sorry about the experience you had and I did contact everyone involved to get both sides and the driver did have knowledge that he was supposed to put things back together as he did for 4 hours as we do if we take the things apart. His helper was not able to make it so he reached out to a local mover for help so u could have your things you were not asked to help them you chose to help them. I sent you all the information to file a claim on the damages. I’m not sure what issue you want resolved I can not fill your request to be compensated a refund because of your stress . We picked your things up you were very happy we delivered your things and there were some issues and you got your things everything was put together as you asked Yes you had damages and I’m truly sorry for that and you will get your money for the damages. We did the job and are more the willing to refund you for your damages. I did stop contacting you because I gave you the information you needed for damages and who to contact and was not going to argue back and fourth. The driver had 5 other customers things on the truck and you were the only one that was unhappy. You also tipped the delivery driver $250 but now want to be refunded that and half the move. This is not adding up. I 1000% think we are responsible for ur damages!!

Today’s move
I could not have been happier with this experience. I was really having a hard time leaving the home that I love and they made this process so much easier for me and it completely changed my whole attitude about this change in my life. I can’t say enough good things about this company. I will be forever grateful.
