I don’t know what’s going on with this company. I got a receipt from them after getting my quote. I then mailed a big box of Calculators to them and got an email saying they received them and I will receive payment in 48 hours. It has now been 16 days and I have yet to receive any correspondence from them. I’ve called at least seven or 8 times and no one ever answers the number. I’ve sent emails and I went into the website and contacted them and I’ve never got a response!!! this feels like they just burnt me for $1800 in Calculators. I have all the receipts for everything so I’m definitely not letting them get away with it and I’ll be contacting the Better Business Bureau and eventually police for theft. What a horrible experience so far.!!

Review 4: This Is No Longer Just Narcissism, This Is Fraud"
I want to be precise about what I discovered because it goes beyond personality and beyond poor customer service. Going back through my trade-in history, I found that a batch he would have loved to take — a genuinely excellent batch — had been processed internally and a strong offer had actually been generated for it. That offer was never sent to me. Instead, my status was changed to show that I had refused the offer. I never received it. I never refused anything. The record was altered.
He then reissued it as an entirely new trade-in number and claimed the batch had arrived at TopCalcs on a later date — weeks after it actually arrived. Here is what makes that lie impossible to hide: that batch arrived the same day as another package he processed immediately — the one he was so eager to give me nothing for. He turned that one around fast, almost with enthusiasm. The excellent batch that arrived the same day somehow took two additional weeks, got a new trade-in number, a fabricated arrival date, and a manufactured refusal on my part that never happened.
Think about what that sequence of decisions required. He had to see a good offer his team had generated, decide not to send it, mark it as refused, create a new record, assign a new number, invent a new arrival date, and then sit on it for two extra weeks while responding immediately to the batch where he got to pay nothing. Every one of those was a deliberate action. This is not someone having a bad day or being inconsistent. This is someone who, when cornered by his own team's fair valuation, chose to erase it and start over rather than honor it. If you are considering doing business with TopCalcs, understand that the records you are shown may not reflect what actually happened.

"The First Sign: A Narcissist Who Can't Meet in the Middle"
My first experience with TopCalcs hidden agenda was when the owner realized that he had been falling short in some areas due to some mistakes he had made with his business. This revealed something that took me a few interactions to fully name: the owner cannot admit error. I sent a batch of TI-84 Plus and TI-Nspire calculators — models he had accepted at full value before — and lost roughly $750 in expected value when he suddenly changed his standards with no explanation. When I pushed back, he played games with response timing, blew past his own deadline, and returned a letter that offered nothing. Not a compromise. Not an acknowledgment. Nothing. This is a classic narcissistic deflection: rather than admit inconsistency, he reframed the situation so that the problem was mine. What exposed him was that he had absolutely no issue spending money to ship my items back as returns. The money wasn't the point. Being right was the point. Admitting he'd accepted these before at full value would have cost him something internally that he simply could not afford to pay.
