Custom handle install was great and the handle itself is perfect in the hand. Tony went way above and beyond to hook me up with a Moon Pond from Nano-Hone as well. Multiple orders now and never any problems. Shipping is prompt and products are great! Strongly recommended!

The Tokushu branded knives are well made, sharp, and look/feel great. Zach and co’s customer service is at a different level than just about any company I’ve dealt with. Ordered Thursday evening and was able to use them Monday evening!

I was given a gift certificate for my birthday and took several of my knives into Zach to be sharpened. Zach was so helpful and took a lot of time with me to explain knife sharpening and different types of knife steel. I ended up exchanging a knife I was given as a gift for one that Zach thought was one that I was looking for. The knife he recommended was great and sliced through three pounds of Jalapeños in no time. The knives I picked up were extremely sharp and the price was incredibly reasonable. I kind of feel bad for not giving a higher rating, but let me first say that I will be coming back to this company in the future for anything I need. Not only is Zach knowledgeable pertaining to the blades and sharpness in general, he uses them for their intended purpose professionally himself. The dude is obviously a master, and his insight can be trusted. That alone is reason to establish and maintain a relationship of mutual respect and commerce with Tokushu. Pretty much the only thing holding me back here is shipping. They use USPS, and as someone who has owned and operated a logistics company for years now, I despise snail mail. There are WAY too many steps that the package has to go through before it’s out for delivery, and that delays things. Also, the package was supposed to be shipped Monday and get here Wednesday, and instead it shipped Tuesday afternoon and won’t be here before my first shift at my new job. On top of that, and I’ll get to why in a moment, but this order was actually supposed to be here last week. NOW, let me be clear again, and this crucial: I am almost certain that the reason the shipping lagged behind is that Zach sharpened my knife, or at least stropped it, for free. Also, he went above and beyond to make sure I even got my knife in the first place. There was a glitch in the website and the blade I ordered originally was out of stock. As soon as he realized what was going on, Zach called me personally and upgraded my purchase to a better and more expensive blade and covered the difference while installing a handle. Yes, it is showing up later than it has to and yes I wish they would have sent the package through fedex express or something… but honestly, this isn’t a large chain store, handling a business is harder than it looks, and I will be coming back so that I can give an honest five star rating in the future. I suspect that this knife will be the coolest thing I’ve held in my hands, beside my children, and I also suspect it will be the sharpest thing bar none. I feel like I KNOW my own personal knife dealer, and that adds a whole dimension to the experience of owning a high quality knife that makes it that much cooler and substantial. If you’re anything like me, and you’re reading through the less-than-perfect reviews to decide on whether to go with this company or not, go with them. Work with them. It’s gonna be worth it.
