I went to Tintworld in Cary, Nc to inquire about having my grandfather's car detailed. The manager quoted a price of 450 that needed to be paid in advance if I wanted schedule an appointment. I was a bit hesitant cause in the very few times I've been asked to pay in advance when it came to vehicle modifications the product was never worth it in the end. I decided to go down the street and got the same service for a fraction of the price Tintworld wanted to charge. I'm happy I following my gut and avoided being ripped off.

For some reason I had to give a star to write a comment? I would give a negative star if I could! I made the mistake of letting them work on 2 of my cars.
One care they cut the leather on which is costing me $700 to fix. The other I had a $2700 stereo installed which they didn't know how to do 6 days later. Took it to sound of sunrise they fixed in 2 hours and called me back to ask how my experience was! Tiny world never heard from to see if I got seat fixed or stereo working.
Thanks for your great service.

Very dissatisfied in both the store mgmt and corporate mgmt!
I spent two days trying to get my car tinted as a Valentine's gift to myself. First day I waited all day to leave with windows tinted and multiple multiple air bubbles. I was told if the bubbles did not dissipate to come back. I went back and the store manager stated he was sorry, that he had his wife applying the tint but he had hired a technician which would be removing and reapplying my tint. I dropped my car off at 8am. When I called at 3pm he stated that they had to stop working on my work to apply tint to another car. He stated that they still needed to remove the tint, that could I bring my car back another day. Which would have made a total of 3 days trying to get tint on my windows. I spoke with the corporate manager and all he did was express his apologies. Needless, to say I did not get my windows tinted 😕 Happy Valentine's to me! Single mother with two boys and I never treat myself, then when I decide to do something that I've always wanted, this was my experience. I do not and would not recommend Tint World located in Christiansburg Virginia!

They waxed over dirt and sand and paint on the whole bottom half of my car.
I ran through some road paint the day before my detail appointment. It wasn't much: there were less than a dozen half-dime sized white splatters on the lower half of one side. Instead of trying to get it off- which you could with a wet wash cloth (which I know because I DID IT MYSELF before I figured eh, they'll get it tomorrow)- they WAXED OVER IT.
They didn't wash the whole bottom half of my car, even though the paint was only on ONE side and the splatters were SO few and far between. They just waxed over all of it. The paint, the dust, the dirt, the salt, the sand, (this was mid-winter,) all of it. On both sides. ?!?!
When I called back and said 'hey, it looks like you didn't wash the bottom half of my car', he argued with me that I must have done that on my way home, because they DEFINITELY did it all and he "looked it over [himself]" before I left with it. He changed his mind once I drove back up there. Then he said they didn't want to scratch my car by trying to get the road paint off. So they WAXED OVER IT? How is that better than washing it off. Also, they could have just said 'hey, there's something on your car and we're afraid to touch it'. I would have happily walked out there with a paper towel and gotten it all in two minutes, so they could continue without being nervous. Nope. Just wax over it.
The owner was also super sexist, commenting on my yoga pants and sweatshirt and calling me "one of those girls". He sees "girls like me" all the time. 'What are you, going to aerobics right now? Sheesh. You girls.' Apparently you have to dress appropriately to get your car detailed.
He should keep his uneducated mouth shut and learn to wash cars before waxing them. That's waxing 101. Also, communicate with your customers. And grow up. You're supposed to be running a business. It's a miracle you're still open.
