ThunderDrive.ioReviews of thunderdrive.io

Really, really painfully slow uploads. I have 500/500 fiber and have no problems to other servers. It's a real shame with a lifetime subscription and 2 TB space that i actually can't use for big files like a 1,5 gb movie and it says 3 hours left with my otherwise super stable 500 mbit upload. Tested just now: 3,5 hours to Thunderdrive for a 1,39 Gb file. Same file to Mega 1 min 45 sec. Fix the upload speed please.

I don't often leave negative reviews... But when I do, it's because the company has really ticked me off... In this case, I've grown concerned about thunderdrive and the lack of respect they seem to have for their customers. Lack of updates (except for sales emails), lack of response from the customer team, lack of information regarding the launch of the IOS apps. It's as if the company is a one man team... Im sorry, but I'm currently not satisfied with this platform and instead prefer to use a more stable, more customer centric provider like Publist.app Edit: Customer service contacted me and told me to contact customer service. Actually I left this review because customer service never responded to my emails or even website chat program communications.

Hi Thuderdrive, Along with my issue, I also wanted to respond to you on your comment on Hoffman's post. You see, I use cloud storage for sharing a few session recordings and audio files. Most of my intended audience are mobile users and when they try to access the folder without signing in, they will not be able to download or view the files. It works on desktop browser but it doesn't work on Mobile browser. The only way to view the folders (from mobile) are if you are signed in. I cannot ask my viewers to sign up just because they need to download my files which I am sharing from my drive. P.S. there is not even a scroll bar when you are not logged in. Users can view just few icons on screen which they cannot interact with. For people who are looking for workaround this issue: I am using a workaround by sharing individual files, but I have to do this every time I upload a file. EDIT: So many technical issues. I am trying to upload a file for the past 3 days. It says upload completed, but the file does not come up in the drive. Updated my rating to 2 now. Bad Service, Bad platform. Only pros is very affordable pricing.

They do not have any app You can not upload multiple files You can not view videos online

Its a bloody good deal price wise but very unreliable upload wise. Im hoping it will improve or come up with an upload/download manager like mega.co.nz

Amazing price ($29/500Gb, $59/2Tb lifetime), but there is one big issue. There is one huge problem that needs to be fixed ASAP: *Huge delay before a large file download begins.* If you want to download a 1Gb+ file back, good luck. You need to wait for a few minutes (!) before it starts. After that the speed is fine, but such a long delay is unacceptable. You can see that other reviewers pointed out the same issue, so it's clearly a problem on their side. The company needs to pause working on iOS/Android and whatever apps and fix the fundamental problem in their service. Then clients will come. There are also smaller issues which I hope will be fixed as the product matures: - Can't check the number of files in an uploaded folder. You will have to count manually. - Videos preview is not working. - Can't select multiple files. - Need to display folder size (in Gb) on the right sidebar. I checked file integrity multiple times. I uploaded a large (2-5 Gb) file and downloaded it back. The file comes the same. So that's good. Overall, great potential, but needs work, mainly fixing the big issue.

The only good thing is the pricing! Functionality is sub-par. Some examples: - Can't check the size of or the number of files in an uploaded folder. You will have to count manually. - You can't upload a folder- Thunderdrive will never upload all the files in a folder {your manual tally will tell you that ;) }. For multiple folders, you will have to create folders in Thunderdrive first, and then drag and drop files separately in each! - When uploading, 1,2,3,4 may be uploaded 4 first, then 2 then 3 then 1. If interrupted, you will have to manually tally to resume (horrible if you're migrating GBs of data) - Most uploaded photos will be "unrotated". - Search option for a file does not work. - You can't change the sorting method- Thunderdrive keeps reverting to "Last Modified" even though I want my files and folders sorted alphabetically. - Customer service will ask you to suck it up. If a price is too good to be true, it probably is.

So far I'm very disappointed in the tech support. I've tried to upload many files, some work but I've now had 6 major uploads that went nowhere and shows only the red exclaimation mark with no information. I chatted with tech support and was told they would be back to me in two hours. Finally after three days someone wrote to ask what my question was in one sentence, was the request, I replied and its now been two more days of no reply again but the chat says someone is active. I tried to get a refund when I realized that nothing was happening with support and files were not uploading but nothing ever came of that and I have no trust in this service so am finding it unusable for what I paid for and so I've just wasted $59 on something I have to give up. I wrote to Mashable about this which is where i bought this service and will continue to follow through with them as paypal can't seem to help and no one in this company acknowledges that there is a major problem. I'm very disappointed that this company is still being allowed to function and take people's money with no support or way to deal with this.
