TERRIBLE Experience
The counselor was very good; however, Thriveworks' company administration is absolutely horrible. Their billing errors have not been corrected, and I'm told I have to contact my insurance and deal with it myself which is ridiculous because the error is on their side. Thriveworks randomly billed me different amounts for the exact same service/provider and will not explain or correct the discrepancies. I initially signed up with a personal credit card and then asked Thriveworks to switch to my FSA card--this took months. My account currently shows two different balance due amounts--$0 and $60--they won't respond when I ask which amount I owe or provide me with a detailed invoice/statement. The provider’s rate went from $195 (6/23) to $250 (8/23) and each time you have a few months’ break in service they charge a brand new $375 intake fee ON TOP OF the hourly rate. I've emailed support many times and received canned sympathetic emails with links to the patient portal and instructions to call 855-284-7483 for assistance. Surprise...the patient portal is useless--you can't access anything including billing or appointment information and the 855-284-7483 callback feature does not work because nobody actually calls you back. Confidential appointment information is being sent to my spouse via text and email instead of me--no matter how many times I ask that this be stopped. “Currently, we are unable to separate the Thrivesupport portal for the clients without creating duplicate accounts.” I guess they are too lazy to be bothered…blatant HIPAA law violation. The experience is stressful and anxiety provoking to say the least. Bottom line--stay away from Thriveworks.
