These are the biggest pestiest people ever. Even if you inquire they never leave you alone even if you clearly tell them you're not interested.

Huge Scam
Huge Scam, don’t use this company. They over charge you and just want your money. They don’t care about helping you at all.

The Therapist was terrible
The Therapist, Taylor, is gay, but. She would be texting her lover continuously throughout my sessions, as if she didn't care if I was there at all, she never offered me any helpful advice on how to fix my relationship, only told me that I should get a divorce. Then during my next session she starts hitting on me. Very unprofessional and a bit creepy I might add , as far as billing went, they couldn't even get that right either , very frustrating experience

strongly caution any parent considering this practice
I am deeply disappointed with Thriveworks' irresponsible handling of my child’s diagnosis and their complete lack of responsiveness to my concerns. I sought help for adjustment difficulties related to a life transition, yet after just one short visit, the provider misdiagnosed my child with Major Depressive Disorder (MDD)—without justification or proper communication.
I immediately reached out to request a correction or explanation. Despite sending five emails to the provider, I received no response. I then escalated my concern, requesting supervisor involvement, but after four follow-up calls, I still had no resolution. To this day, after a month of trying, I have yet to be contacted by someone.
This level of negligence is unacceptable, especially when dealing with a child's mental health. MDD is a severe, chronic condition characterized by persistent sadness, loss of interest in activities, and significant impairment in daily functioning, not appropriate for a child coping with a specific life change. Misdiagnosing in this way risks stigma, unnecessary treatment, and long-term consequences in medical records, schooling, and insurance.
Providers should not have the freedom to make careless diagnoses and then ghost concerned parents who seek clarification and correction. The goal of treatment, in this case, should be to foster resilience, teach coping mechanisms, and improve communication skills—not to wrongly label the child with a severe mood disorder that may follow them in medical records and impact future care.
Mental health providers must diagnose responsibly and communicate openly with parents to ensure the best care for the child.
I would strongly caution any parent considering this practice. If you care about ethical and transparent mental health care for your child, look elsewhere.

Avoid this company at all costs if you care about your mental health.
This company has done absolutely nothing but make my mental health worse. If you’re going to attempt to work with Thriveworks DO NOT see Shannan Herman. She does not listen, is extremely condescending, has to be constantly right and is very very pushy. Avoid this woman at all costs. She made my mental health plummet and shouldn’t even be allowed to hold a degree. She told me several times that “If I wanted to get better, then I’ll get better” When I told her that I have debilitating insomnia and treated me like some teen who stays up on their phone all night when that is NOT the case. I ended up having a panic attack after my session because of how rude she was being towards me. She wasted my mother’s money. My family and I are thinking about suing at this point.
Do not ever let a “professional” make you feel like they know your and your body more than YOU do.

I would never go here
I would never go here. I scheduled an appointment & because of an emergency I had to cancel. I cancelled 24 hours in advance & they would not work with me. God forbid you have a death in the family & have to miss the appointment. They charged me $159. Never would use this place!

I was seeing Shannan Herman
I was seeing Shannan Herman, she was completely awful. She tried all different kinds of medications. It was the worst i’ve ever felt in my adult life. She didn’t listen to what I was saying and how I was feeling. I ultimately went here because my insurance was taken at this location. I am going back to my old psychiatrist and paying out-of-pocket because it’s worth it. Do not go to Thriveworks and especially Shannan Herman
