Alice is nothing but problems. We live in an area where many of our employees commute via ferry which can cost around $25 each way. Because of the way Alice does their accounting, carrying over billing from previous months, our employees constantly have to deal with transactions being denied because they’re “$325” balance is actually only around $120. So by the 7th of the month our employees are being told they’ve met their max even though they haven’t even spent $100. The IRS very clearly defines transportation benefits as being available on a calendar month basis but Alice has decided to use their own fraudulent method to calculate a month and no one can tell us exactly what dates their using. For the sake of your employees find another provider. The Alice program is nothing but headaches for your employees and for your HR team who is constantly having to field complaints.

as an employer of ~50 people, i find alice to be the easiest benefit i can provide, plus it saves our company on payroll taxes! once set up, it's all fairly automated and i seldom have to give it a thought, although new staff often need follow up to get signed up.
