The Marketing MentorsReviews of themarketingmentors.com

Adam Urbanski’s response below makes my warning stronger because it avoids the behavior at the center of my review. I hired Marketing Mentors under a one-year, $24,000 coaching contract at $2,000 per month. The company later acknowledged in writing that I had not been properly onboarded. I was invited to ask questions, so I did. Adam lost his temper with me for asking them. When I addressed his behavior directly, he apologized in writing. Then his 12 Week Revenue Accelerator was postponed for several weeks while the company continued trying to fill the program. That last-minute change cost me several hundred dollars in disrupted family travel plans. Before the Accelerator even began, Adam lost his temper with me again. I addressed it directly and professionally. His response was to remove me from the program, cut off my access to the services, and exclude me from the Accelerator entirely. That same night, after removing me, Marketing Mentors charged my card another $2,000. Read Adam’s reply carefully. He says I signed a twelve-month contract. He says services had previously been provided. He says the $2,000 was a scheduled payment. He says the bank decided the chargeback in his favor. He says releasing me from the remaining $14,000 was a goodwill gesture. None of that answers the central issue. What service did that specific $2,000 payment purchase after Adam had already removed me and cut off my access? How was I supposed to receive what I was being charged for when he had barred me from participating? A scheduled charge can be written into a contract. That does not make it ethical to process it after the company has terminated the client’s access. The bank’s decision resolved a narrow chargeback dispute. It did not determine that Adam’s behavior was responsible, professional, or ethical. A chargeback outcome does not erase what happened. His claim that he released me from the remaining $14,000 as an act of goodwill is especially telling. Adam ended the working relationship. Adam removed me from the program. Adam made the remaining services unavailable to me. I do not consider it generous to refrain from collecting another $14,000 for coaching he had decided I would no longer be permitted to receive. His response follows the same pattern I experienced privately: avoid the conduct, cite the contract, invoke authority, and present the outcome as though he did the client a favor. He still does not meaningfully address losing his temper with me. He does not address why raising a legitimate concern about his behavior was followed by my removal. He does not explain why another $2,000 was taken after my access was terminated. That is not accountability. It is carefully worded deflection. This kind of behavior is one reason so many people have lost trust in the coaching industry. Coaches sell leadership, integrity, responsibility, and transformation. Those words mean very little when a coach cannot receive feedback about his own conduct without removing the client who raised it—and then charging her again. Prospective clients deserve to understand what can happen when the relationship becomes uncomfortable. I have the written acknowledgment that my onboarding was mishandled. I have Adam’s written apology. I have the records showing when my access was removed and when the additional $2,000 charge was processed. I am willing to provide that documentation to anyone seriously considering hiring him, and I am pursuing the appropriate formal channels. Based on my direct experience, I strongly warn people against hiring Adam Urbanski or Marketing Mentors. Look beyond the polished response. Ask what happens if you challenge how you are being treated. Ask whether the company can terminate your access and still process the next payment. Get every answer in writing before giving this company your card. I would never trust Adam Urbanski or Marketing Mentors with my money again.
