I sent in my blood sample and was contacted by them and set a date to go over my test results. I never received the scheduled phone call. They sent me another blood sample kit after a request. I never received and call about my second blood sample. My wife had the same issues. Long store short I met with a staff member and felt like the whole meeting was all about sales. Very disappointed and I wish I could get a refund. Don't waste your time and money. I never received a physical copy of my blood results.
Response from The Health Institute With Dr. Josh AxeFeb 26, 2026
Hi Todd,
Thank you for sharing your experience. We understand how frustrating it can feel to schedule calls and not receive them, especially after taking the time to complete lab work and waiting for clarity about your results.
Laboratory testing is conducted through an independent third-party provider, and consultations with a Senior Health Advisor are held once samples are successfully processed. If a call did not take place as expected, there are typically detailed records indicating whether the appointment was confirmed, completed, or required rescheduling. We are able to review those timelines carefully.
Lab reports are generated digitally by the lab provider. We do not withhold lab results, and copies can be obtained at any time.
Our consultation calls are intended to review findings, provide education, and determine whether one of our programs may be a fit in your healing journey. Enrollment is always optional.
If you would like your account reviewed — including any potential refund eligibility, we invite you to contact our support team directly at [email protected] so we can look into the specifics and provide clear next steps.
With respect,
The Health Institute Team

Buyer Beware
My wife ordered this product/service on February 12 during what was intended to be an “informational” Zoom call, but turned out to be a high-pressure sales call, in which the level of support that would be offered was highly overstated. On February 17, she received an in-home blood test, which she was hoping to use on the morning of February 18. However, the instructions were unclear for a rather scary test and she was unable to reach support using the code they gave. Therefore, she did not go through with it. While this company has received some good reviews, I wish we had read the negative comments before signing up. Those comments are right in line with our personal experience, and this has been a complete waste of $8,000 for us. It was a weak moment when this decision was made, as we had both been dealing with the flu, we were exhausted, and my wife was desperately trying to find alternative help following harmful cancer treatments. It should be noted that I rarely write negative reviews, so for anyone considering this program, please heed my warning. Watch out for any high-pressure sales tactics that offer seemingly-unrealistic levels of support. They will have you sign a form that says you are not entitled to any refund under any circumstance, which my wife signed electronically as the representative was talking to her following my go-ahead to make the purchase. Make sure that the program is right for YOU, regardless of what claims are made about others’ successes. Under no circumstance would we ever have anything else to do with this company again.
2/20/26-i just noticed that they somewhat responded to my critique. As expected, it had “canned response” written all over it. It was long and yet said little. To the National Health Institute, or whatever you are, perhaps you can fool some, but I doubt you’re really fooling that many people; certainly not me. People are smarter than you might think, and can see through the garbage. There is a lot of legitimacy to these negative reviews, as I have seen personally, and all you do is explain how they’re wrong and you’re sure sorry their faulty judgement led them to see what they see. Does that just about sum it up? I thought so. My wording was actually intentionally kinder in my first review than it could have otherwise been, but your condescending message only served to insult my intelligence. There is no need to bother; I see through it all, as I expect most others do too. Nice try though.

Hi Keith -
Thank you for sharing your perspective. We recognize that decisions related to health, especially following something as serious as cancer treatment, carry significant weight. For that reason, accuracy and transparency matter to us.
Our consultation calls are structured to review health history, answer questions, and determine whether our program is an appropriate fit. Enrollment is always optional, and it is never our intention to make anyone feel pressured. Program structure, support levels, tuition, and refund terms are clearly outlined prior to any agreement being signed.
Regarding the blood test, all laboratory testing is conducted through an independent third-party provider. In the kit itself and in the emails your wife received, there were detailed sample collection instructions as well as information on how to join the lab provider’s live collection support calls. These calls are specifically offered to assist individuals who have questions or need guidance completing their sample successfully. In addition, our Health Support team is always available and consistantly go to great lengths to support our students with any quetions or concerns they may have.
If there were technical issues or confusion at the time of collection, we would have welcomed the opportunity to assist.
We understand that not every program is the right fit for every individual. However, we are committed to accurately representing the structure and level of support we provide. If you would like a formal review of your wife’s account, we invite you to contact [email protected] so our team can examine the details directly.
We take feedback seriously and continually evaluate our processes to ensure clarity, professionalism, and consistency.

Not what I expected
There were a lot of things that went wrong not to good of a start. Cost very expensive for the services. A nutritionist with 30 min block, once a month. Tried to cancel before continuing then gave it a try since 1 person handling all new client took forever. Cost too much for a few sessions with nutritionists, self study program, sure hard to navigate. You don't get anything like resources no one calls to help you with concerns I needed help was told I would be contacted and never was. I trusted Dr. axe but, he is not a man of integrity. I missed a whole month with no help when I started they did not make it up to me. My nutritionist left and they kept cancelling me to reschedule. I do not recommend this program. I am left paying 5 k because there was no one to talk to.

Hi Yvonne -
Thank you for taking the time to share your perspective.
For clarity, our practitioner-led program includes seven one-on-one sessions with a dedicated practitioner, along with multiple live group coaching opportunities each week for additional guidance, education, and support. Students also have access to structured course materials and our Health Support team throughout their enrollment.
If, while participating our program, you experienced a provider transition, our standard process is to reassign and reschedule as promptly as possible to maintain continuity. All scheduling activity, communication, and support tickets are documented internally, and we are able to review timelines carefully when concerns are raised.
Program tuition, structure, and cancellation terms are clearly outlined prior to enrollment and are applied consistently across all students. We recognize that this is a meaningful investment, which is why transparency around what is included is important to us.
If you would like your specific case formally reviewed, we invite you to contact [email protected] so our team can examine your account history directly and respond appropriately.
We take feedback seriously and continually evaluate our processes to ensure we are delivering the level of support we are committed to providing.

I was expecting a review of results…
I was expecting a review of results from a doctor. We got a sales pitch that mirrored that of a time share. The sales person made ridiculous statements: all medication is toxic; all herbal supplements are good for you-regardless of your underlying conditions. She claimed his treatment would reverse glaucoma. She searched buzzwords in patient files as objective evidence.
Yes. Send me information on how to get a refund.
Response from The Health Institute With Dr. Josh AxeFeb 21, 2026
Hi June -
We’re sorry to hear that your consultation experience did not meet your expectations. When someone schedules time to review their health results, clarity and professionalism are important — and we take that seriously.
To provide context, our consultations are educational in nature and are conducted by trained Senior Health Advisors. They are not medical appointments and are not intended to diagnose medical conditions. We do not claim to reverse diseases, and we do not advise individuals to discontinue prescribed medications. Any suggestion otherwise would not reflect our standards or company policies.
Our programs focus on lifestyle education, nutritional support, and practitioner-guided wellness strategies. While some individuals choose to continue into a program, enrollment is always optional and we are committed to maintaining professionalism in every interaction.
All consultations are recorded for quality assurance purposes. Given the concerns you’ve raised, we will be reviewing the recording internally to ensure our standards were upheld.
Regarding your request for a refund, our support team can provide the appropriate next steps and review your request according to policy. Please contact [email protected]
so we can assist you directly.
We appreciate feedback, even when it’s difficult to hear, as it allows us to continuously evaluate and improve the experience we provide.
With respect,

SCAM!!
SCAM!!! Do not take the test and definitely don’t give them more money for their program. So much high pressure in a sales call! Lots of promises of getting you completely healed with the supposed problems you have from the test results. The test results were completely falsified. We have blood work surrounding this test that proves that. Supplement pushing of their brand only. Another bad sign!
There has been no health benefits to this program. Just an $8000 loss and a waste of time. Paid in September so conveniently enough to long to get a chargeback to work for a refund. These are sales people - NOT health professionals. Do not waste your money or time. Lots of empty promises and money we could’ve used elsewhere for actual healing. Very disgusted with Dr. Axe and this scam of a supposed health institute. So many people in here saying they were promised things and it never happened. Listen to those! These other good reviews are all part of the scam.

We hear the frustration in your message. When someone invests their time, finances, and hope into improving their health, it carries weight. No one takes that lightly here.
At the same time, there are a few important clarifications that matter for accuracy.
Bloodwork
All labs associated with consultations are processed through certified third party laboratory partners. We do not generate or alter lab data. Results come directly from the lab. Differences between panels can occur due to timing, methodology, hydration status, medications, or reference ranges used by different laboratories. When two reports look different, the most productive next step is reviewing them with the issuing lab for context, not assuming manipulation.
Consultations
Our consultations are educational and supportive in nature. Enrollment into any program is voluntary. We do not promise cures or guarantee outcomes. Responsible health guidance focuses on supporting the body over time, not making unrealistic claims. The goal is structure, insight, and practitioner guidance so individuals can make informed decisions.
Supplements
We work with third party manufacturers that meet our quality standards. Recommendations are made within that framework, but participants are not obligated to purchase products beyond what is included in tuition.
We understand that not every program will feel like the right fit for every person. That happens in any health setting. However, labeling the organization as fraudulent or suggesting reviews are fabricated does not align with the documented experiences of many individuals who have found value in the support provided.
If something specific in your case feels unresolved, we want to look at it carefully. When concerns are reviewed with full context, clarity often follows. You can reach our team directly at [email protected], and we will take the time to review your situation thoroughly.
We genuinely want you to move forward with confidence in your health decisions, whether that is with us or elsewhere.

The company took my money
The company took my money. sent me a test kit and then told me my sample was no good. never sent another test kit. Emailed for over a month to get a new kit and they never sent one.
Response from The Health Institute With Dr. Josh AxeFeb 17, 2026
Will, We’re sorry to hear that this was your experience. When someone is waiting on a test kit and communication feels unresolved, that’s understandably frustrating.
For clarity, when the laboratory determines that a sample is unusable, it is typically due to collection issues outside of our control. In those situations, a replacement kit is normally issued by the lab, immediately.
It is not our policy to withhold a replacement kit when a sample is deemed invalid. If there was a delay or breakdown in communication, that is something we would want to review carefully.
We appreciate you bringing this to our attention. When something goes wrong in the process, our goal is resolution. We’re committed to looking into this thoroughly and ensuring you receive clarity.
We encourage you to contact our team directly at [email protected] with your full name and the email you signed up with so we can investigate what happened and determine the appropriate next step.
With respect,

Contacted the Health Institute in June…
Contacted the Health Institute in June of 2024 to get a price on their program.I declined due to price even though it was promoted as satisfaction guaranteed.Holly kept reducing the price and pressuring me to enroll. After going thru a detailed history of medical problems and agreeing to pay $2697.60 I was sent my 1st supplements and started the program. My symptoms ;insomnia, incontinence, fatigue, tremors,HBP,osteoporosis and joint pain continued but I was encouraged to finish the program which I did.I immediately requested a refund on 10/25/25.I was told someone would get back to me.After three requests by 12/8/25I was given a ticket #93360 by email from the support team and said someone would be contacting me in 72 hrs.zNo contact received or refund.Since they are not members of BBB I contacted the tns. attorney generals office to see if I could get some help.Im 78 and feel Dr.Axes statements are misleading and tactics are pressuring people to pay so they can get well. Also his frequent messages of faith and"spiritual connections " don't seem to line up with company policy of satisfaction guarenteed.
Response from The Health Institute With Dr. Josh AxeFeb 17, 2026
Hi Linda,
We hear the disappointment in your message. When someone commits both financially and personally to improving their health, it carries significance — especially while continuing to navigate challenging symptoms.
Our programs provide structured lifestyle support, practitioner guidance, and education. We do not guarantee specific medical outcomes, as results vary based on individual history, consistency, and underlying factors. Continued symptoms do not automatically mean the program was misrepresented. Health progress can be complex and, in some cases, may take more time than expected.
Regarding your refund request, our records show that a cancellation form was sent on December 3rd. That form is required so we can formally document and review any request in accordance with program policy. As of today, it has not been completed.
Refund requests cannot be evaluated until the required documentation is submitted. Once the form is completed, your case will be reviewed by the appropriate team in alignment with policy.
If you need assistance completing the form, our support team is available at [email protected]. We're here to help!
With respect,
The Health Instiitute Team

Unethical practice
I purchased the Blood Test Week expecting to receive my results directly, as I have with other at home testing kits in the past. Instead, I was informed via text that my results could only be reviewed during a consultation, which was rescheduled twice.
When the Zoom consultation finally happened, I was surprised to learn it was being recorded; something I had never encountered before for a simple lab review. From the beginning, the interaction felt more like a sales call than a health consultation. Having over 20 years of experience in sales myself, I immediately recognized the sales pitch format. When I questioned why my results hadn’t simply been released through email or a portal, my concern was ignored and the sales script continued.
At that point, I clarified that I already work with a functional medicine doctor and had only ordered the test to review my markers independently. Only then did she agree to release my results and abruptly ended the call.
When I opened the results, I discovered that the age, and date of birth were not mine. I contacted her immediately, and while she sent another link, it didn’t work. I ultimately had to log into the portal myself to access my correct results.
I have no issue with high-ticket offers when they are transparent and ethical. I’ve been a longtime supporter of Dr. Axe, which makes this experience especially disappointing. Health is not an area where aggressive sales tactics, poor communication, or data errors are acceptable. Mixing up patient information and withholding results behind a sales process is both unethical and unacceptable.
Going forward, I will rely solely on my practitioner for testing and interpretation.
Response from The Health Institute With Dr. Josh AxeJan 31, 2026
Chiara,
We’re truly sorry that this interaction left you feeling frustrated and disappointed—especially as a longtime supporter of Dr. Axe and his work.
We’d like to offer some clarity around how our blood work consultations are structured.
Our blood work consultation is designed to provide lab testing within a guided, educational, and consultative experience. Results are intentionally reviewed during a consultation so individuals receive appropriate context, education, and next-step guidance—rather than a standalone release of data without support. This structure is communicated throughout the registration and pre-consult process. The consultation is not intended to function as an inexpensive pass-through for testing to external practitioners.
Regarding the consultation itself, calls are recorded for quality assurance and training purposes. This allows us to maintain consistent standards and continuously improve the experience we provide.
We are especially concerned to hear about the initial confusion involving an incorrect results link. While your correct results were made available, any moment of uncertainty related to personal health information is not acceptable. We take this feedback seriously and are reviewing internal safeguards to prevent this from happening in the future.
Our consultations are designed to be educational conversations—not clinical evaluations or aggressive sales interactions. While some individuals choose to continue into our programs, there is no obligation to do so, and we recognize that our approach may not be the right fit for everyone.
We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and regret that it did not meet your expectations. We wish you the very best as you continue your health journey with your practitioner.
With respect,
The Health Institute Team
