Communication just TERRIBLE
Communication just TERRIBLE! My first blood test failed, so I received another kit, but was told I had to register the kit by scanning the code which I did. I never received notification that my new kit was registered and therefore I could not proceed with the bloodwork. I decided to book another session, but it turns out that they assume I am a new client and so I am now getting billed for another kit. I already have a kit. I am not a new client and I do not wish to get charged again. I have left a phone message and many many emails. All they ever do is say you need to register your blood kit. This has been going on for about two weeks I am going to report this company to Better Business Bureau. Unless I hear from them today.
Response from The Health Institute With Dr. Josh AxeJan 11, 2026
Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. We understand how frustrating this experience must feel, especially when you’re trying to move forward with your care and haven’t received the clarity you expected. That’s not the experience we aim to provide. To clarify, replacement bloodwork kits do not require a new purchase, and clients are never intentionally billed twice for the same testing. In cases where a kit fails or needs to be replaced, registration must be completed successfully so the lab system can link the new kit to the existing account. If that connection is not completed properly, it can understandably create confusion — and we’re sorry this has felt drawn out. We also want to be clear that booking a new session does not make you a new client, as long as it was booked with the same email address. We would absolutely want to review any billing concerns to ensure everything is corrected appropriately. Because situations like this require account-specific review, the fastest way for us to resolve it is through our support team so we can access your records directly and take action. Please reach out to [email protected] and our team will ensure this is reviewed promptly and accurately. We appreciate you raising this concern and giving us the opportunity to make it right. Our goal is to support you — not add stress to your health journey. With respect, The Health Institute Team
