What a disgraceful sales pitch that wasted over an hour of my time with high pressure sales tactics...I'm honestly disgusted that you would stoop this low and are destroying your reputation. The salesperson automatically assumed I had $8,000 to pay or that I wanted to open credit cards (aka go into debt) to be able to pay for the "program", I'm honestly disgusted. Also, please stop using Christianity as a sales lever.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. I’m genuinely sorry to hear how upsetting this experience felt, and I appreciate you taking the time to be candid.
Our consultation is intended to be an educational conversation focused on understanding someone’s health history, goals, and whether our approach may be an appropriate fit. It is not meant to be a high-pressure sales experience, and there is never an obligation to enroll in a program or pursue financing options. If that is how this interaction came across, then we missed the mark — and that matters.
We also want to be very clear that we do not believe anyone should go into debt for their health, nor do we assume someone’s financial situation. Program options and pricing are meant to be discussed transparently so individuals can make an informed decision at their own pace — not under pressure.
Regarding your comment about faith: using Christianity, or any belief system, as a sales lever is not aligned with our values or our standards. If that was your experience, we take that feedback seriously and will be addressing it internally.
While our programs are not the right fit for everyone, feeling disrespected or pressured is never acceptable. Your feedback helps us reinforce the standards we expect across all of our team members.
With respect,
The Health Institute Team

Please Go Elsewhere, Also Not a Christian Company
Sales Advisor Marisa (NOT a Health Coach or Practitioner) conducted the intro call. Asked pointed questions in an attempt to get me to an emotional place. Marisa went so far as to ask me directly about my personal trauma history, then told me I didn't sound motivated to do the program.
She attempted to provide details on my cellular health based only on a self-report questionnaire.
I am disgusted that this company poses as Christian, as Jesus would never treat humans as sales numbers.
I pray God will change their hearts.
Dear one looking for health answers, please go elsewhere, where you are truly cared about. You can also find a lot of this information for a lot less money in books or on trusted online sources.
Know that your health and life are in God's hands, who truly loves and cares for you, and whose plans are always good, even if they are not your plans.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I’m truly sorry to hear how distressed and disrespected you felt during this call.
Our introductory consultations are designed to be educational conversations — not clinical evaluations.
We are especially concerned by your feedback regarding questions that felt intrusive or emotionally manipulative. While understanding someone’s health history and motivations can be part of an introductory conversation, no one should ever feel pressured or judged in that process.
We also want to address your comments regarding faith. Our values are rooted in the foundations of Christianity — compassion, dignity, and respect for every individual. If that was your experience, it does not reflect our standards.
Your feedback is being reviewed internally, as experiences like the one you described fall short of how we strive to show up. While our programs are not the right fit for everyone, every conversation should reflect care, integrity, and respect.
If you’d like us to review your experience further or if you have additional questions, we invite you to contact our support team directly at [email protected] or 878-295-8339 ext. 1004 so we can ensure your concerns are properly addressed.
We appreciate you sharing this and wish you the best moving forward.

Absolute Rip Off!!!!
An absolute waste of money. I, like some others, knew how to eat. I grew up with this knowledge and spent my adult life continuing my education in a healthy lifestyle.
What this program is is information. You’re paying $573 for supplements for 4 months.
The rest of the $7,000+/- (ultimately, if you don’t bite on the first number they give you, they will come down) is for access to a portal to give you information, along with a membership to a Facebook group. Oh, and some coaching sessions, which are mostly to be sure you got your stuff. It’s absolutely INSANE! Had I known I could’ve gotten a refund early on, I would’ve done that pretty immediately, once I realized what the program was all about. It’s a complete cookie cutter program and far from personalized just for you.
I would be ashamed to be one of the coaches involved in such a scam. They “get” you by taking a blood test and giving you results, which they don’t exactly use. If you, for a minute, think they zero in on your specific issues, you’re going to be greatly disappointed and disgusted, if you bought into the program. It’s not personal. Everyone goes on a hormone protocol or a blood sugar and metabolic protocol. Nothing is specific for your exact needs according to a blood test. This all has been very disappointing. I am extremely irritated at their lack of understanding, when I made it clear that I didn’t need the information and that I felt duped. A completely disgusting company. Figures, considering I have gotten the impression that they are Christian/godly people. Those are the ones to not be trusted.
I do NOT recommend AT ALL. All I wanted was to check my thyroid. Of course they make it sound like I need help there (because that was what I voiced where I might have concern) and suggested that they would absolutely be able to come to my rescue through this program.
You get 4 supplements a month: probiotics, Liv120, magnesium, and a multivitamin. Absolute rubbish program. Do NOT get fooled. I paid the price and now I hope to warn you so that you don’t get duped as well.
There are far better ways to get on top of your health. Dr Eric Berg has many videos out there. You’d be better off watching his stuff for free on YouTube.
I NEVER want to hear Dr Axe’s voice again.
If I could give 0 stars I would. Complete rip off.
AVOID, unless you have money that you don’t care to throw away.
Edited to add: I spent $6,000+ for this program. I might’ve used half of it. The refund that was granted was $151. Doesn’t compute. Unfair and ridiculous!
Let’s break this down:
$573 for supplements
$500 as soon as you access the portal
The rest of the thousands upon thousands are for the information in the portal, six 30 min coaching calls, access to a FB group and weekly community calls with Josh Axe, if you choose to.
To sum it up: Eat plenty of protein, cooked veggies, avoid gluten, dairy, and sugar, and get your mindset right. That’s the basic gist.
Hope that helps you make a decision that’s right for you.

Dorinda,
I’m genuinely sorry to hear that this program did not meet your expectations and that you felt frustrated by your experience.
At The Health Institute, our programs are designed to provide a structured, science-based foundation for cellular health. This includes reviewing bloodwork in the context of the program, applying targeted root-cause lifestyle protocols, educational coursework in our Learning Portal, and access to live group coaching calls and office hours each month. Many participants find value in the combination of education, structure, and support, though we recognize this approach will not feel like the right fit for everyone.
It’s also important to clarify that meaningful personalization within our program depends on engagement with these resources. The coursework and live support are core components of how education, context, and individualized guidance are delivered alongside bloodwork findings.
Regarding protocols, our clinical approach focuses on addressing root drivers of dysfunction. For the vast majority of individuals, blood sugar regulation and hormone signaling are foundational systems that influence symptoms across nearly every area of health—including thyroid function, metabolism, inflammation, energy, and mood. From a clinical standpoint, if these root systems are not stabilized first, downstream symptoms cannot be sustainably resolved. This is why participants are guided into clinically appropriate root-cause pathways rather than symptom-specific or fully bespoke plans.
Our intention is never to mislead or pressure anyone. We continuously refine how we communicate who this program is best suited for—and who it may not be—to support informed decision-making.

The sales person led me to believe I…
The sales person led me to believe I would have success getting off my thyroid medication and that did not happen. I have had Hashimoto’s thyroiditis diagnosed 13 years ago.
My practitioner was excellent! There was a lot of good information.
I have been researching and seeing physicians all over the world over the past 15 years and it was not new information to me. I imagine it will be helpful information to most of the general population though.
Response from The Health Institute With Dr. Josh AxeJan 19, 2026
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We appreciate your thoughtful feedback and are glad to hear that you found your practitioner excellent and the overall educational content valuable!
We’re genuinely sorry for any misunderstanding that occurred during your initial consultation. Our programs are designed to provide education, insight, and supportive strategies around cellular and whole-body health—not to diagnose, treat, or guarantee outcomes such as discontinuing prescription medications. Decisions around thyroid medication, especially in the context of long-standing Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, should always be made in partnership with your physician.
That said, we understand how disappointing it can feel when expectations and outcomes don’t align, particularly after years of dedicated effort and research. Your feedback is important, and we take it seriously as we continue to refine how we communicate the purpose and scope of our programs.
We truly appreciate your balanced perspective and your acknowledgment that the information may be helpful for others earlier in their health journey. We wish you continued clarity and support as you move forward in a way that best serves your health.
With respect,

This guy plasters ads all over Facebook promising a personal consultation for 27.00. What it actually is a sales pitch for an 8500.00 nutrition program. Don't fall for it. And the refund promised isn't real either. Don't fall for it
Response from The Health Institute With Dr. Josh AxeJan 15, 2026
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re genuinely sorry to hear that this experience felt misleading or frustrating—that’s never what we want for anyone exploring their health options with us.
Our $27 consultation is designed to be an educational, one-on-one conversation focused on understanding an individual’s health history, goals, and whether our approach may be an appropriate fit. It is not intended to be a high-pressure sales call, and there is no obligation to enroll in any program. For those who may benefit from deeper support, program options and pricing are discussed transparently so individuals can make an informed decision at their own pace.
Regarding refunds, we do honor our published refund policies and work to process all valid requests promptly. In your case, a refund request form was sent, but it appears it was not successfully received because you have opted out of receiving messages from us. We understand how that could have caused confusion and are happy to help ensure this is resolved.
If you would like assistance completing a refund request or would like us to review this directly, please contact our support team at [email protected] or 878-295-8339 ext. 1004, and we’ll make sure this is handled with care.
We take feedback like this seriously and review it internally to improve clarity and communication. Our mission is to educate, support, and empower people to make informed decisions about their health—not to pressure or mislead.

SCAM! They make you pay $27 for a fake consultation, then hard sell you for an $8500 plan.
The video they have on social media leads you to believe that they will be able to give you some sound advice and tips based on your "personal health" but it's really just an opportunity for them to sell you a very expensive $8500 program. They do not give you any information or tips to help improve your health from the paid $27.00 consultation. You are basically just paying for someone to do a hard sell on an $8500 program. I received no useful information from the supposed paid "consultation". Do not even waste your money on the consultation. You are just paying for someone to waste your time and to have someone try to pressure you into buying their program. There is no real "health consultation" as the social media video would have you believe. They offer no advice whatsoever! Total SCAM!

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re truly sorry to hear that your experience felt disappointing and did not meet your expectations.
Our $27 consultation is intended to be an educational and exploratory conversation, focused on learning about an individual’s health history, current challenges, and goals. It is not positioned as a treatment session or a substitute for medical care, nor is it meant to provide a full health plan in a single call. For some individuals, additional structured support may be recommended, and when that’s the case, program options and pricing are discussed transparently so each person can decide whether to move forward—there is no obligation to enroll.
We’re sorry to hear that the conversation did not feel helpful or aligned for you. That feedback is taken seriously and reviewed internally, as clarity and alignment are extremely important to us. Our intention is never to pressure, mislead, or waste anyone’s time, but rather to ensure people have accurate information so they can make informed decisions about their health.
We appreciate you sharing your perspective and will continue working to improve communication around what these consultations are—and are not—so expectations are clear from the start.

I scheduled an appointment that they…
I scheduled an appointment that they did not keep. When I tried to contact them I was only able to leave a message. They said it would take 72 hours to expect a return call. They did give me a refund, which is why I gave them one Star. No thanks!
Response from The Health Institute With Dr. Josh AxeJan 15, 2026
Jeri,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We're truly sorry for the frustration caused by the missed appointment and the difficulty you had reaching our team afterward. That’s not the standard we aim to uphold, and I completely understand how disappointing that feels.
To clarify, our voicemail messaging notes that response times may be up to 72 hours due to call volume. That said, we recognize that any delay—especially when you were expecting a scheduled conversation—can feel far too long.
We’re always working to strengthen our processes. Your feedback is important, and it helps us identify opportunities for improvement.
We wish you all the best as you continue your health journey.

High Pressure Scam
I booked a consultation for their Cellular Health Regeneration program for $27. During that consultation, I ignored the red flags that I saw. First of all, the sales person, labeled a "senior health advisor", made me sell to her on why I would be a good fit for the program. I should've gotten off the call right then. After over two hours on the call, I had been drawn in. The sales person pressured me strongly to sign up on the spot, for an $8500 4 month program. I declined a few times, saying that I couldn't commit to spending that amount of money without talking to my husband. She persisted, and insisted, that I need to sign up today or I would lose my spot in meeting with my practitioner. For a company that touts biblical principles, I really dislike that she encouraged me to go against my husband by signing up for this without talking to him. I was caught up in all the promises she offered to improve my health, though, so I did sign up against my better judgment. Thankfully, I only paid a down payment of $125 so at least I wasn't pressured into losing thousands. I also didn't like the vague nature of what the program actually entailed. Afterward I felt weird about the whole thing. In doing research after I felt like most of what my practitioner would advise me to do was stuff that I already do (lifestyle, nontoxic living, diet, sleep, etc.)
I wanted to believe the "senior health advisor" and that Dr. Axe and his team and this top secret special program could help, but I was so turned off by the high pressure sales pitch that I decided to cancel. I won't be getting my $125 back because unfortunately they declined giving me a refund.
My theory as to the reason the consultation is so insanely high pressure is that either 1) they know the program is a scam for $8500 or
2) the program works but they are greedy.
If this is such a miracle program and works & their heart is pure in wanting to help people regain their health back, why the high pressure sales pitch?
The stress of this whole situation was actually the opposite of helpful for my health. Ironically. Really disappointed, Dr. Axe.
